President Bush Is Using A Page Out Of Karl Rowe’s Playbook

President Bush is playing political prognosticator and saying in an interview Hillary Clinton will win the Democratic nomination. “She’s got a national presence, and this is becoming a national primary,” Bush said in the interview. “And therefore the person with the national presence, who has got the ability to raise enough money to sustain an effort in a multiplicity of sites, has got a good chance to be nominated.” But he is not worried because he feels a Republican will win the big prize. “I think our candidate can beat her, but it’s going to be a tough race,” he said. “I will work to see to it that a Republican wins and therefore don’t accept the premise that a Democrat will win. I truly think the Republicans will hold the White House.” This is straight out of Karl Rowe’s political play book. They feel that Clinton is so divisive that she will rally the Republican troops in to vote against her. This says a lot about the Republican party. They can not get excited enough about one of their own candidates, and only will vote in the negative. This plan may have worked with John Kerry, but I doubt they have that much influence on how Democrats vote. Bush says he will help the Republican candidate win, but some say he should just step aside, or even hide. Donald Trump told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, “I think President Bush has to go into a corner and hide if a Republican is going to get elected. There is no way he is an asset. He is a huge liability, and he is going to have to do a big, big hiding act if a Republican is going to win.” Trump also said he believes Bush might be the worst President ever saying, “We’ve gone from this tremendous power that was respected all over the world to somewhat of a laughingstock.”
