Barack Obama Has Hurt The Feelings Of Fox News

Barack Obama was in Iowa yesterday and was asked why he didn’t wear a little flag pin on his lapel. After 9/11 it became popular for politicians to wear those little flag lapel pins on their chest to prove they were great Americans. It was a sign of patriotism. “The truth is that right after 9/11 I had a pin,” Obama answered. “Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we’re talking about the Iraq war, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security,” he said. “I haven’t worn that pin in probably a very long time. I wore it right after 9/11. But after a while, you start noticing people wearing the lapel pin but not acting very patriotic,” Obama said. “My attitude is that I’m less concerned with what you’re wearing on you lapel than what’s in your heart. You show your patriotism by how you treat your fellow Americans, especially those ones who serve.” Fox news Sean Hannity complained about this, even though if you look at his website he doesn’t wear one either. Fox and Friends held a poll to find great Americans that thought Obama was acting unpatriotic, and I noticed none of them or their guest wear little flag pins. Most of the other Presidential candidates don’t wear little flags on their chest either. Rudy Giuliani is the only one that regularly wears a little flag pin, and we already know what a great American he is. Do you really need to wear a little flag pin to prove your patriotism? And if you wear a bigger one, does that make you more of a patriot? After 9/11 it was a sign of solidarity, but that time is long gone. Now it is a sign of insecurity because your actions aren’t enough to prove you are a patriot. Giuliani probably has 9/11 embalmed on his. You are a great American Barack Obama and you don’t need a little flag pin on your chest to prove it.
