Rick Santorum is using Maxine Waters (D-Calf) latest rants about the Tea Party to collect campaign cash. In the video Waters tells the Tea Party members to “go straight to hell.” Santorum sent out a letter saying, “During this time of uncertainty in our country, I can’t imagine that someone who uses this type of hateful rhetoric actually holds elected office. As I told a reporter yesterday when asked about these disparaging comments, “This is the left in America, they absolutely despise the founding principles of this country that believe in free people and believe in limited government. If you believe like I do that the government should be the voice of the people and that people should not be harshly criticIzed by members of their own government for caring about his country, then please make a contribution today!” Santorum says, “This is another example of the lack of leadership from the Democratic party and our own President, when they refuse to condemn this type of hateful speech. Mr. President – why do you and your party hate “tea party” members when all they want is what is best for this country & its future?”
Here is the video of Waters that Santorum uses;
I would suggest another video for Santorum from all the way across the country. Representative Frederica Wilson (D-FL) told a South Florida crowd, “Let us all remember who the real enemy is. The real enemy is the Tea Party — the Tea Party holds the Congress hostage. They have one goal in mind, and that’s to make President Obama a one-term president.”
