Rick Santorum Calls Mitt Romney Uniquely Unqualified

Rick Santorum went on FOX News’ “Hannity,” last night to explain all the stuff he has been saying lately. He talked about the robocalls that he was running that asked for votes from Democrats. Romney called that a “low moment in the campaign.” Santorum explained, “”You mean when he runs a robocall of my voice from four years ago saying good things about him, that’s not a low moment? And when I run a call basically calling Democrats that are eligible to vote here to vote for us, and encouraging people to come and vote for us, and can we talk about our manufacturing plan and what we are going to do to create jobs, it’s a very positive robocall. Talking about what we are doing to create jobs in Michigan. Of course, you know, it’s interesting that we criticize me for attracting Democrats because one of the things that Governor Romney’s people say is oh he can’t attract Democrats. Well guest What? We will wait and see. I think I can. We have a lot of folks in this state that are looking at our plan and looking at the ideas we have to get the manufacturing sector of this economy of the sector growing again in Michigan and are maybe excited about having Rick Santorum on that ticket.” They talked about Santorum supporting Romney in 2008, and Santorum said “Governor Romney is a good man. I have nothing negative to say about Governor Romney as a person. The bottom line is because of his record in Massachusetts on health care, he is uniquely unqualified to take on Barack Obama on a bill that’s identical to the bill he supported and to say, ‘I’m against it only because it’s a federal program instead of a state program,’ is not the best way to make the case that government-run health care is a bad idea.” Sanotrum then explained why he called President Obama a “snob.” He said the Obama administration is a “top down, we know best for you. We are going to run your life for you and your going like it.” He also explained why he disagreed with President Kennedy, because he “banishing people of faith and faith claims from the public square.” He said including everyone is what President Madison refereed to as “the perfect remedy.”

President Obama’s Failed Policies On Gas Prices In Michigan

The RNC have released a campaign ad that goes after President Obama over the rising gas prices. The ad has a clip of candidate Obama in 2008 in Michigan saying inflation and gas prices are a “quiet storms our families have been facing for months if not years.” These “storms will only get worse if we don’t act.” Since things have gotten worse since then I can only assume President Obama has been “present,” but not motivated to act yet. The ad calls for a new change, “Change Direction.”

Comedians Encourage Democrats To Vote For Rick Santorum

The Second City Network have put together a little video that encourages Democrats to come out and vote for Rick Santorum in the primaries, mostly to screw things up for Mitt Romney. This is becoming a bid deal in the Michigan primary today with both candidates speaking up about it. It reminds me of the 2008 campaign when Rush Limboaugh and Sean Hannity encouraged people to vote for Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton to keep the fight going. This plan backfired on them, and they got a President Obama which is a lot further to the left of a President Hillary Clinton. Playing games with politics like this is dangerous and immoral to democracy at best. It is pure manipulation of the ballot process. Second City actually addresses this saying, “To any who oppose such tactics on moral grounds, one might ask if they’re part of the same group of people who oft bemoan the passive, compromise-y tactics of the current administration. Be the change you’ve been waiting for, and so forth.” At the same time they say, “Vote Santorum. For now. Really enjoy it.” Play this game and you could end up with your worst fear, a hard core conservative President Santorum in 2012. Politics is not a pure science and no one can predict what will happen in the next 6 months.

The Republicans Stopped The Keystone Pipeline According To Obama Administration

During today’s White House press briefing Jay Carney was asked about the Keystone pipeline, and he blamed the republicans for it not being approved. “The reason why the Keystone XL required the review that it did is because it crossed, that pipeline crossed an international boundary. The State Department, by tradition and rule, reviews those requests for permits and was in the process of doing just that when the Republicans forced us to deny it because they tried to compel the administration to grant a permit to a pipeline for which the route didn’t even exist. Which was obviously was not the right thing to do,” Carney said.

Jessie Jackson Calls It An Honor For President Obama To Be Known As The Food Stamp President

Jessie Jackson calls it an honor for President Obama to be known as the food stamp president. Jackson told a crowd, “it’s an honor to be a food stamp president. Food stamps feed the hungry. Food stamps save the children. Food stamps help the farmer. Food stamps help the truck driver. Food stamps help the warehouse. Food stamps help the store. Food stamps hire people and feed people. Food stamps save people from starvation and malnutrition. Whenever you attack feeding the hungry, you undermine the moral authority of our faith. Give President Barack Obama a big hand. Show your love. Show your appreciation.”
