President Obama Feels He Deserves A Second Term

President Obama gave NBC’s Matt Lauer an interview during the Super Bowl pre-game show yesterday. It was three years ago during the same interview that President Obama said, “If I don’t have this done in three years, then it’s going to be a one-term proposition.” Lauer asked him about this and President Obama responded, “I deserve a second term, but we’re not done.” He added, “We’ve made progress. The key right now is to make sure we don’t start turning in the wrong direction to throw that progress off.”

Pete Spenditnot Hoekstra Wants To Stop Debbie Spenditnow

Pete Hoekstra is running a Senate campaign against Debbie Stabenow in Michigan and ran a super bowl ad that has caused a bit of criticism. Hoekstra used a cute young Chinese girl to get his point across, but has been accused of stirring up xenophobia and racism. In the ad he accuses Stabenow of spending to much and turning our economy over to the Chinese. In the ad the young girl says in broken English, “Thank you Michigan Senator Debbie Spend-it-Now. Debbie spend so much American money, you borrow more and more from us. Your economy get very weak, ours get very good. We take your jobs.” Hoekstra directs people to his website, DebbieSpendItNow.com which has a lot of references to the Chinese culture all thanks to Senator Stabenow. Pete Spenditnot Hoekstra just wants to “Hold Debbie Stabenow accountable for her reckless spending,” and take her job.

Rick Santorum Is Going To Show Some Improvment

Rick Santorum was on “Fox News Sunday” this morning 2/5/2012 to talk about his campaign. Santorum expects to do well this Tuesday with three states voting, but it is not a make or break moment. “The first five states were sort of cast in stone … I think we’re going to do very well here in Minnesota. I think we’re going to do very well in Colorado,” Santorum said. He feels the polls showing him getting better each week, and he is the only candidate that can beat President Obama. “I think we’re going to show improvement. This race is a long, long way from being over,” according to Santorum. He also claims the other two candidates are not picking up any energy.

Ron Paul Speaks To The Young People

Ron Paul was on ABC’s “This Week” and said the young people are supporting him. Paul said, “among the young people, there is a revolution, an intellectual revolution going on with the young people, and there are people who have sat on the sidelines for years, the independents that I talk to. Obviously, we’re not in a large majority right now when the election comes, but all — anybody who cares about what I’m talking about has to come to the campuses.” As an example he offered, “Last night, we had — in a small college in Minnesota, we had 1,300 people coming out, and they’re energized. It has not been translated into an absolute political change, but, believe me, the intellectual revolution going on, and that has to come first before you see the political changes, and that’s where I’m very optimistic.”

President Obama’s Private Sector Job Creation Chart

According to President Obama’s campaign team, “We’ve officially had 23 consecutive months of private-sector job growth, and seen 3.7 million private-sector jobs created under this President.” In a letter sent to supporters they said, “The Republican candidates are banking on people not knowing the truth about the President’s record.” In response to this news, the campaign team said, “Mitt Romney cynically claimed President Obama has “prevented a true economic recovery.” He’s even falsely said President Obama “has not created any new jobs,” and told ABC News earlier this year that the President has “lost 2 million jobs.” I didn’t see any room on President Obama’s chart for those 1.2 million that have given up and just dropped off all the other charts. The chart is interactive and explains month by month how the President’s plan is working.

Newt Gingrich On Meet The Press

Newt Gingrich was guest on “Meet The Press” this morning with David Gregory, 2/5/2012. Gingrich feels that he is on a good pace and will see more progress by Texas. Gingrich explains the reason the unemployment rate went down was because “people have just quit looking.” Newt asks, “do you really want to go into the fall election with a moderate candidate? The last two times we nominated a moderate, 1996 and 2008, we lost badly.”

Mitt Romney Wants President Obama To Apologize To America

Mitt Romney gave his victory speech last night after easily winning Nevada. Romney said, “This President began his presidency by apologizing for America. He should now be apologizing to America.” He called for better times saying, “We won’t settle for a President who tells us it could be worse. What defines us as Americans is our unwavering conviction that things must be better. That conviction guides our campaign. It has rallied millions of Americans to our cause, including tens of thousands of Nevadans who gave me their support today! They know that our future is brighter and better than these troubled times. It is better than 15% real unemployment. It is better than $15 trillion in debt. It is better than the misguided policies and broken promises of the last three years – and the failed leadership of one man. Our campaign is about more than replacing a President. It is about saving the soul of America. President Obama wants to “fundamentally transform” America. We want to restore America to the founding principles that made this country great. Our vision for the future could not be more different than his.”
