Watch The Obama Bus Tour Drive By

Here is a video offered by a Minnesota local watching the entire President Obama bus tour entourage drive by for over 2 minutes. A little shout out goes to the Zumbrota Ford team in the background. I am sure glad this is official White House business and not a campaign tour, because this has to cost millions to drive this army around. The fuel cost and carbon footprint alone has be astronomical. I understand the Canadian made rock star buses can get a little less than 10 miles to the gallon without all the armor.

President Obama Wants Rick Perry To Be Careful About What He Says

President Obama was a guest on CNN with Wolf Blitzer yesterday 8/16/2011. Blitzer asked President Obama, “Rick Perry, the governor of Texas, Republican presidential candidate now, says, the men and women of the United States military want someone who’s worn the uniform. He says he served in the Air Force. Do you see a comment like that, that he makes, referring to you, as disrespectful to the commander in chief?” Obama responded, “You know, Mr. Perry just got into the presidential race. I think that everybody who runs for president, it probably takes them a little bit of time before they start realizing that this isn’t like running for governor or running for senator or running for Congress, and you’ve got to be a little more careful about what you say.” We all remember the respect candidate Obama showed for then President Bush during the 2008 campaign. Or is this just another one of those “do as I say, not as I do,” instances.
This morning Perry responded to President Obama’s lecturing. “Yesterday the president said I needed to watch what I say,” Perry told a crowd. I’d just like to respond, if I may, Mr. President, actions speak louder than words. My actions as governor are helping to create jobs in this country,” Perry said. “This president’s actions are killing jobs in this country.”

Ron Paul Accuses Federal Reserve Of Counterfeiting

Yesterday candidate Rick Perry caught a lot of slack in the mainstream media for saying, “printing more money to play politics at this particular time in American history is almost treasonous in my opinion.” He was referring to the Federal Reserve just creating more money out of thin air, and he did say “almost treasonous.” This morning the MSM has been wondering why hasn’t he backtracked? “I certainly think threatening the Fed chairman is not a good idea,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said on MSNBC. Ron Paul came to his defense this morning and even called him “astute” with such an opinion of the Fed. “The Founders felt pretty strongly about counterfeiting. I don’t — I wouldn’t call it treasonous, but I would call what our Federal Reserve does morally equivalent to counterfeiting because they create money out of thin air and they give us our problems,” Paul told CNBC this evening. Will the MSM will go after Ron Paul with such veracity as they did Perry for saying basically the same thing?

He proposes new revenue from energy development, selling government owned assets and savings through modern management techniques like Lean Six Sigma.”

Democrats Give Kudos To The Tea Party

The Democratic rapid response team has put together an ad in response to the Republican’s weekend in Iowa. According to the ad the Tea Party had a good week, inferring that all of the candidates offered by the Republicans are Tea Party members. Apparently they feel it will be easier to run against the Tea Party as opposed to the Republican party. It seems to be working since many of their followers feel the Tea Party was responsible for the debt crises and the downgrade. I’m sure the MSM will be parroting this line soon enough.
