Congressman Kratovil Talks Suicide With Young Boy

At a townhall meeting, Congressman Frank Kratovil (D-MD), talked about suicide when a young boy asked about health care for his grandfather. The young boy asked, “My grandfather is a retired war veteran. What are you going to do to make sure he is cared for with Health Care?” Kratovil responded by saying lots of soldiers are committing suicide because of the horrible things they see, and he thinks that should be addressed.

Pg 298 Lines 9-11: Doctors, treat a patient during initial admission that results in a re-admission -Govt will penalize you.

Pg 317 L 13-20: PROHIBITION on ownership/investment. Govt tells Doctors what/how much they can own!

Pg 317-318 lines 21-25, 1-3: PROHIBITION on expansion- Govt is mandating hospitals cannot expand.

Pg 321 2-13: Hospitals have opportunity to apply for exception BUT community input is required. Can u say ACORN?!!

Pg 335 L 16-25 Pg 336-339: Govt mandates establishment of outcome based measures. HC the way they want. Rationing

Pg 149 Lines 16-24: ANY Employer with payroll 401k & above who does not provide public option pays 8% tax on all payroll.

Pg 150 Lines 9-13: Business’s with payroll btw 251k & 401k who doesn’t provide public option pays 2-6% tax on all payroll.

Obama Against Rushing Bills Through Without Reading Them

An old interview with then, just elected Senator Barack Obama, has been released on YouTube by Naked Emperor News that shows Obama was against rushing bills through when the President was a Bush. The interview is from November 22, 2004, and was with Randi Rhodes of Air America. Here some transcripts from the interview;

BARACK OBAMA: …When you rush these budgets that are a foot high and nobody has any idea what’s in them and nobody has read them.

RANDI RHODES: 14 pounds it was!

BARACK OBAMA: Yeah. And it gets rushed through without any clear deliberation or debate then these kinds of things happen. And I think that this is in some ways what happened to the Patriot Act. I mean you remember that there was no real debate about that. It was so quick after 9/11 that it was introduced that people felt very intimidated by the administration.

The YouTube clip then segues to MSNBC’s Chuck Todd explaining Rahm Emanuel’s rationale for ramming bills through congress. Todd says,

And a few things that I feel like that I’ve picked up from these guys. Number one is that they are very aware. Rahm Emanuel is Chief of staff…had experience in the Clinton White House. And he is trying to learn every lesson from those days of Clinton and apply it to Obama. So number one is, don’t deal with just one big issue. One of the reasons why, for instance, they thought health care went down is you had one issue sitting out there when Hillary Clinton introduced it. We all focused on it in the media. And the opposition got to organize and stop it. And you can kill anything in this town if you set an idea out here long enough and give the opposition time to organize and stop something. And I don’t care which side of the aisle you’re on. You can kill anything in Washington doing that. And I think they’re attacking it this way: saying we’re going to push 3 or 4 different things. Because they believe the opposition won’t have time to unite and kill all of it.

John Conyers Sees No Reason To Read Bills He Passes

Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Democratic Congressman John Conyers told a group at a National Press Club luncheon he sees no reason to read bills Congress passes. Claims they are to long. “I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill,’” Conyers said. “What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?” Does he flip a coin to decide which way to vote, or does he just vote the party line?

President Obama has set up his web site so that you can tweet your Senator to tell them that we need health reform now. They pick what you are to say, you just click the buttons. Or you can do like I did, and change it to say whatever you want to your Senator. They apparently track all the tweets so all can see what you tweeted to your Senator. Go here to tweet your Senator to vote for ObamaCare.
