Mitt Romney At The Clinton Global Initiative 9/25/2012

Mitt Romney spoke at the Clinton Global Initiative this afternoon. ” A year from now, I hope to return to this meeting as president, having made substantial progress toward achieving the reforms I’ve outlined. But I also hope to remind the world of the goodness and the bigness of the American heart. I will never apologize for America. I believe that America has been one of the greatest forces for good the world has ever known. We can hold that knowledge in our hearts with humility and unwavering conviction.”

GOP Weekly Address 9/22/2012 A Republican Senate Would Have Passed A Budget

In the Weekly Republican Address, U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) says that the Senate Democrat majority has decided to adjourn through November having failed to meet one of its most basic obligations — passing a federal budget. “For the last three years, in a time of national crisis, Senate Democrats have deliberately violated the legal requirement to produce a budget plan,” Sessions says. But Sessions, the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, says that won’t happen if Republicans gain control of the Senate next year. “If given the chance, Republicans will get this government under control. A Republican Senate will pass a budget.”

By His Own Admission President Obama Has Failed

President Obama admitted he can’t “change Washington from the inside,” and now the Republicans have a whole ad campaign around that short phrase. Four years ago the central theme of the Obama campaign was “change”. “It’s becoming clearer by the day that President Obama’s campaign is a mirage,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “‘Yes We Can’ was appealing to so many four years ago, but four years later, it’s turned into ‘No I Can’t.’ Barack Obama’s campaign rationale in 2008 was his ability to change how things are done in Washington, but now he says that he can’t change things at all and has instead become part of the problem. Washington is more broken, more divisive, and less respected than when Barack Obama was elected four years ago. Now, he says that Washington can only be changed from the outside. The American people will give him that opportunity this fall.”

Mitt Romney Wants To Take President Obama Outside

Mitt Romney told a group at a campaign stop yesterday that “the president today threw in the white flag of surrender again. He said he can’t change Washington from the inside. He can only change it from outside. Well, we’re going to give him that chance in November. He’s going outside.” “I can change Washington, I will change Washington. We’ll got the job done from the inside. Republicans and Democrats will come together. He can’t do it. His slogan was ‘yes we can.’ His slogan now is no I can’t,” Romney said.
