Mitt Romney Says President Obama Gutted Welfare Reform

In 1996, President Clinton signed bipartisan legislation to reform welfare by requiring work. Sixteen years later, President Obama quietly gutted this landmark law. Mitt Romney will restore the bipartisan reforms to welfare and move our country in the right direction.

President Obama Labels Mitt Romney’s Tax Plan Romney Hood

President Obama told a crowd in Stamford, CT that Mitt Romney is like Robin Hood in reverse. Obama said, “And what this policy center did, it just ran the numbers. If you wanted to actually pay for that, what would that mean? And they determined that Governor Romney’s plan would effectively raise taxes on middle class families with children by an average of $2,000, to pay for this tax cut. He’d ask the middle class to pay more in taxes so that he could give another $250,000 tax cut to people making more than $3 million a year. That’s like Robin Hood in reverse. It’s Romney Hood.”

President Obama Doesn’t Recognize The Cherished Relationship We Have With Israel

In almost four years as president, Barack Obama hasn’t visited Israel. We need a leader who recognizes the cherished relationship the U.S. has with Israel and stands with our allies. In a letter to supporters Romney said,

“You can’t get much closer to the ideals and convictions of the United States than you do in Israel. We’re part of the great fellowship of democracies. We speak the same language of freedom and justice and believe in the right of every person to live in peace.

The story of how America — a nation still so new to the world by the standards of this ancient region — rose up to become the dear friend of the people of Israel is among the finest and most hopeful in our nation’s history. Israel and America are in many respects reflections of one another, and I am happy America has such a great friend and ally.
