Mraco Rubio Says President Obama Deliberately Divides Americans

During an interview with ABC’s David Muir, Senator Marco Rubio called President Obama’s executive order on immigration a “short-term solution.” “I don’t think he should have done this by executive order,” Rubio said. “I think he should have worked with the Congress to try to get something balanced done, like something I’m working on. The White House never called us about this. No one reached out to us and told us this was on its way. If they were serious about a real solution to this solution, and not politicizing it, then why don’t you reach out to people?” “He deliberately divides Americans against each other for purposes of political gain,” Rubio said. “If you look at this White House, they never pass up an opportunity to pit one group of Americans against another for purposes of improving his electoral chances. Time and again, whether it’s one group of Hispanics against another, men against women, rich against poor, he is constantly looking for opportunities to tell one group of Americans that they would be better off if another group of Americans were worse off, and I think while that’s common in politics, it’s not just Obama, it’s common in politics, but I think what’s really sad is he had a chance to be different.”

Mitt Romney On Face The Nation 6/17/2012

“I don’t care about re-elections.”
In an interview on ‘Face the Nation’ Mitt Romney said he was not worried about re-election in an obvious dig on President Obama who has been in constant campaign mode since the first of the year. “I am in this race because I want to get America back on the right track,” Romney said. “I don’t care about re-elections, I don’t care about the partisanship that goes on. I want to get America right.” Romney told host Bob Schieffer, “look, I’m going to do whatever I think is right to get America right. But for me this is not about politics.” He added, “We’ve got to have people who are willing to put aside the partisanship, stop worrying about the next elections, and say, You know what? We’ve got to fix the country fast.”

“We are going to stop Obamacare in it’s tracks.”
Romney also spoke on immigration and Obamacare during his interview with Schieffer. On President Obama’s recent Rose Garden announcement on immigration Romney said, “With regards to these kids who were brought in by their parents through no fault of their own, there needs to be a long-term solution so they know what their status is. This is something Congress has been working on, and I thought we were about to see some proposals brought forward by Senator Marco Rubio and by Democrat senators, but the president jumped in and said I’m going to take this action – he called it a stop-gap measure.” He added that Obama, “should have worked on this years ago if he felt seriously about this. He saves these sort of things until four-and-a-half months before the general election.” Romney claimed in Massachusetts, “we created a solution; Republicans and Democrats, business and labor in our state, we worked collaboratively. The president instead on a very partisan basis jammed through a bill, didn’t get a single Republican vote, didn’t really try and work for a Republican vote.” He said, “if I’m president we’re going to stop Obamacare in its tracks.”

“I’m looking to bring tax rates down for everyone.”
Romney told “Face the Nation” host Shieffer that he stands by his anti-tax pledge. “The only solution to taming an out-of-control spending government is to cut spending. And my policies reduce the rate of spending, bring government expenses from 25 percent, federal expenses, from 25 percent of the economy down to 20 percent and ignite growth of our economy,” Romney said. Romney said, “I’m not looking for a tax cut for the very wealthiest, I’m looking to bring tax rates down for everyone, and also to make sure that we stimulate growth by doing so and jobs. For me this is all about creating good jobs.” “I’m looking to keep the burden paid by the wealthiest as the same share that it is today,” he added.

Now it is our time.” In 2009 President Obama said he “wanted the responsibility” to fix this economy. The ad ends with Romney saying, “Well, Mr. President, you’ve had your moment.
