President Obama Blames Congress In His Latest Ad Campaign

President Obama has released a new campaign ad attacking Congress this time for not acting on his plans for the economy. “The President’s jobs plan would put teachers, firefighters, police officers, and construction workers back to work right now. And it’s paid for by asking the wealthiest Americans to pay a little more, but Congress refuses to act. Tell Congress we can’t wait.” According to the campaign, “Under President Obama’s leadership, we’ve added almost 4.3 million new jobs over the last 27 months—but there’s still more work to do, and he’s urging Congress to take action now.”

Scott Walker Calls His Victory A Powerful Message For The Fall Elections

“They said loudly, not just in Wisconsin but across the country, if you do the right thing, if you make the tough choices, voters will stand with you,” Governor Scott Walker said during an interview on Fox and Friends this morning. Walker also said his victory sends a “powerful message in the fall election,” and offered some advice for Mitt Romney saying, “the best thing he can do between now and November, because this is a very competitive state and we hope to see him here throughout the next several months, but is to get out and make a very compelling case about how he’s willing to take on the tough challenge.” Walker added, “If Governor Romney wants to be competitive in Wisconsin, I think he can. He needs to tackle those same issues.” Walker wants to try to get his state back together by inviting state politicians over for some beer and bratwurst.

The RNC Celebrates Victory In Wisconsin

The RNC have put together a new web video to celebrate Scott Walker’s victory in Wisconsin last night. “The Democrats and their Big Labor buddies have nowhere to go after going all in and losing with Tom Barrett,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “If yesterday was a ‘test run’ of Barack Obama’s gold-plated turnout operation-bring it on. Governor Walker’s victory demonstrated that celebrating store front openings doesn’t bring people to the polls and neither will an uninspiring incumbent like Barack Obama who has no rationale for reelection. President Obama will get a rude awakening when he returns to Wisconsin to try and rally his base. After abandoning one of his earliest supporters in Tom Barrett, this president cannot credibly ask Wisconsin Democrats to enthusiastically get behind his candidacy. But, for a president who is quite skilled in breaking promises, there is not much surprise here. Wisconsin Democrats now head into November dispirited and defeated, while Republicans remain strong and organized, with momentum on our side.”

Bill Clinton Is Not Really Following The Obama Campaign

President Bill Clinton gave an interview to Judy Woodruff and tried to explain his comments about Mitt Romney and his “steller” experience with Bain Capital. Woodruff asked Clinton, “So before I ask you about CGI, is the Obama campaign wrong to continue to criticize Romney’s record at Bain Capital?” Clinton answered, “Not necessarily. It depends on the facts of the case. That’s what I tried to say in the CNN interview. The equity business can be good if you – I’ve got a friend who buys failing companies, and he tries to turn them around. And he’s turned a bunch of them around, but not all of them. So sometimes he tried and failed. The effort was honorable. That’s a good thing. There are lots of examples over the last 20 years where people used equity to take control of companies, got the companies in greater debt, looted the assets, caused more people to be fired and, in some cases, compromised the pensions. That’s a bad thing. That’s where you’re just — you’re buying something and looting it because you can.
I didn’t have any idea, when I was giving that answer, that I was wading into some controversy in the campaign, because I haven’t seen the ads, and I’m not following it, and I’m not really part of it. But you’d have to know about a specific case to know whether it was a good or a bad thing. But there are a lot of good people in that business doing good things. That’s the point I was making.”

Crossroads GPS Puts A Stopwatch On The National Debt

Super PAC, Crossroads GPS, have released a new ad called “Stopwatch.” “Why isn’t the economy stronger? In the seconds it takes to watch this, our national debt will increase $1.4 million. In 2008, Barack Obama said, ‘We can’t mortgage our children’s future on a mountain of debt.’ Now he’s adding $4 billion in debt every day, borrowing from China for his spending. Every second, growing our debt faster than our economy. Tell Obama: stop the spending.”
