Elizabeth Warren Is Still Proud Of Her “Native American Heritage”

Despite all the controversy Elizabeth Warren has had over her claim of 1/32 native American heritage she continues to promote the idea. During a recent interview on CNN’s “Starting Point” on Monday she claimed she was proud of her disputed heritage. You know, I’m proud of my Native American heritage,” Warren said. “I’m proud of my family. It’s now the case that people have gone over my college records, my law school records, every job I’ve ever had to see that I got my work. I got my jobs because I do my work. I work hard. I’ve been a good teacher.” “I think what this is really about is that the economy — middle-class families, working families — are getting hammered and Wall Street wants to change the subject. Scott Brown wants to change the subject. Washington wants to change the subject. I think that’s the real problem here,” Warren said.

Former Obama Car Czar Calls Obama Ad Campaign Unfair

On “Morning Joe” today, former Obama “car czar” Steve Rattner denounced President Obama’s new ad campaign that attacks Mitt Romney for business decisions he made during his tenure at Bain Capital. He is referring to recent ads that talk about GST Steel and Bain Capital taking over the business. Rattner calls the ads “unfair.” “I think the ad is unfair. Mitt Romney made a mistake ever talking about the fact that he created 100,000 jobs. Bain Capital’s responsibility was not to create 100,000 jobs or some other number. It was to create profits for his investors, most of whom were pension funds, endowments and foundations. It did it superbly, acting within the rules and acting very responsibly and was a leading firm,” Ratner said. “So I do think to pick out an example of somebody who lost their job unfortunately, this is part of capitalism, this is part of life. And I don’t think there’s anything Bain Capital did that they need to be embarrassed about,” he said.

President Obama’s Commencement Speech at Barnard College

President Obama gave the commencement speech at Barnard College in New York City. He used it as an opportunity to slam the media for being full of “sensationalism and scandal.” “No wonder that faith in our institutions has never been lower. Particularly when good news doesn’t get the same kind of ratings as bad news anymore,” President Obama said. “Everyday, you receive a steady stream of sensationalism and scandal,” Obama said. “And stories with a message that suggest change is impossible. That you can’t make a difference. That you won’t be able to close that gap between life as it is and life as you want it to be. My job today is to tell you don’t believe it. Because, as tough as things have been, I am convinced you are tougher.” President Obama also had some advice for the all women Barnard graduates. “Until there are women who tell her ignore our pop culture obsession over beauty and fashion and focus instead on studying and inventing and competing and leading, she’ll think those are the only things that girls are supposed to care about. Now, Michelle will say there’s nothing wrong with caring about that a little bit,” Obama said. “You can be stylish and powerful too,” Obama said. He encouraged the graduates saying things will get better. “The question is not whether things will get better, they always do. The question is not whether we’ve got the solutions to our challenges, we have had them within our grasp for quite some time,” Obama said. “We know for example that this country would be better off if more Americans were able to get the kind of education you’ve received here at Barnard. if more people could get the specific skills and training that employers are looking for today. We know that we’d all be better off if we invest in science, technology and that sparks new businesses and medical breakthroughs, if we developed more clean energy so we could use less foreign oil and reduce the carbon pollution that is threatening our planet,” Obama told the graduating class.

The RNC On President Obama’s Empty Promises On Debt And Deficits

The RNC have a new web video that shows President Obama’s empty promises on the debt and deficits. “President Obama has broken his promise over and over when it comes to reining in Washington’s out of control spending,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “During the campaign, he lambasted the growing debt and, once elected, he pledged to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term.” “Yet, President Obama’s record has been to double-down on Washington’s out of control spending by running trillion dollar deficits every year he’s been in office. His serial disregard of the nation’s finances is mortgaging our children’s future, guaranteeing that the next generation will not be better off.”

“Barack Obama is right–the American people are tired of politicians who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk when it comes to fiscal responsibility. After four years of lip-service on spending, it is clear that Barack Obama is just a typical politician, saying one thing to get elected and doing another once in office.”
