Tom Brokaw Unhappy With Mitt Romney Ad

Mitt Romney is currently running an ad that features NBC News and Tom Brokaw giving the news the night that Speaker Newt Gingrich was found guilty of ethic charges he was facing. Brokow issued a statement asking Romney to stop using the ad. “I am extremely uncomfortable with the extended use of my personal image in this political ad. I do no want my role as a journalist compromised for political gain by any campaign.” Does that include President Obama? The Romney campaign said this about the ad, “In 1997, Democrats and Republicans overwhelmingly found Newt Gingrich guilty of ethics violations. The ethics violations resulted in a large financial penalty and questions about his effectiveness as Speaker.”

Here are some more details of the ad from Newsy, with Brokaw’s complaint and the response from the Romney’s campaign.
