Footage Of McCain As POW Released

The whole interview of John McCain as a POW, that partially can be seen at McCain’s web site, has been released. French reporter Francois Chalais conducted the interview, and it was first broadcast on the French television program Panorama in January 1968. His widow is seeking payment for use of the video from the McCain camp and the US for unauthorized use of it. In the 4 minute interview McCain says, “I was on a flight over the city … and I was bombing and I was hit by a missile or anti-aircraft fire, I’m not sure which,” he added that his plane “went straight down.” Towards the end of the interview the shirtless and cigarette smoking soldier broke up a bit while talking about his wife back home. McCain said that after going down in the lake he “was picked up and taken to the hospital, where I almost died.” He said his captors had treated him well and the food was “not like Paris … (but) I eat it.” At the same time this video is being shot Barack Obama was 6 years old studying the Koran at the Basuki school in Jakarta, Indonesia. Obama has noted in his two books, “Dreams From My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope,” that he spent two years in a Muslim school and another two years in a Catholic school while living in Indonesia from age 6 to 10. Also about this time Obama’s friend at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Bill Ayers was plotting to bomb government buildings in the USA. As Dennis Miller has said, “He gave us 5 1/2 years, I’m willing to give him 4 back.”
