John Edwards Attacks Ann Coulter Again

John Edwards defended Barack Obama Wednesday against an attack on him by conservative hag Ann Coulter. Coulter told Fox News that the election of Barack Obama would only help al Qaeda. She also said that polls showing Obama beating any Republican candidate were fabricated. Edwards responded by saying, “Just when we thought Ann Coulter couldn’t take the politics of personal destruction any lower, she proved us wrong,” …… “Her outrageous comments are inexcusable and should not be tolerated in the public dialogue.” I guess that means Edwards doesn’t believe in freedom of speech. Her comments are obviously tolerated by the right, and even encouraged. If Edwards would just ignore her he would be better served. To bring it up like this only legitimizes Coulter as someone that should even be listened to. She has no real arguments to back herself up, that is why she always uses personal attacks. Edwards had his own run in with Coulter about a month ago when Coulter hinted that Edwards was a fag. Edwards argued that President Bush’s war on terror has “created a climate where people think it is OK to use the threat of terrorism as a guise for hateful political attacks.” huh?

1 Response to John Edwards Attacks Ann Coulter Again

  1. josh says:

the opening sentence says that edwards was defending a person from an initial attack by Anne. So he is the one entitled to speak his mind. If she did not provoke obama and he said that she should not be able to speak, that would be another story.
