President Obama On The Contraceptive Compromise

President Obama announced today a change in his rules on contraceptives in Obamacare. The White House reports; “The President announces a new policy that will ensure that women have access to free preventive care, including contraception, no matter where she works. Religious employers will not be required to provide contraception, but insurance companies will be required to directly provide it to all women, free of charge.” February 10, 2012.

The Sheet Metal workers local 100 have signed up a group to protest CPAC this week. You don’t even have to know what you are protesting about and they supply the signs. The pay is 60$ a day, and since it is a union job, you should get benefits. This is opportunity knocking for those Occupy people.

Trump Doesn’t Understand Why Rick Santorum Would Want To Be President

Donald Trump endorsed Mitt Romney last week, and then Romney got beat badly in the next three contest by Rick Santorum. Now Trump has an issue with Santorum and is pointing it out in his latest YouTube video. He starts out saying, “I have nothing against Rick Santorum,” but then goes on to express things he has against Rick Santorum. “But what somebody has to explain to me is how can somebody who is a sitting Senator run for the Senate, as an incumbent, and lose by 19 points to somebody else and then say, ‘Well gee, I lost in Pennsylvania for the Senate by 19 points, now I’m going to run for president.’ Explain that to me.”

Stupid Stuff Mitt Romney Says

Democratic Super PAC, American Bridge 21st century, have put together a video called “Shit Mitt Says,” which compiles snippets of things Mitt Romney says. In traditional Super PAC fashion they have put these together to make Romney appear like a complete idiot. I don’t recommend they jump into such a game with President Obama having a treasure trove of Obamanism to choose from:

“The Cambridge police acted stupidly.” July 22, 2009
“The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system.” July 20, 2009
“No, no. I have been practicing…I bowled a 129. It’s like — it was like Special Olympics, or something.” March 19, 2009
“I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” Oct. 12, 2008
“Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under a McCain…administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change.” July 22, 2008
“How’s it going, Sunshine?” –campaigning in Sunrise, Florida
“On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”
“It’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
“The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn’t. But she is a typical white person..”
“In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died — an entire town destroyed.” –on a Kansas tornado that killed 12 people
“I’ve now been in 57 states — I think one left to go.”
“The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries.”
“I don’t think I was naive. I just think that these things are hard to do. You know, this is a big country.”
“Come on! I just answered, like, eight questions.”

And the hits just keep coming.

Rick Santorum Says Mitt Romney Can’t Win A Fair Fight

Rick Santorum stopped by Sean Hannity last night to discuss the campaign trail. One of the reason he did so well against Mitt Romney was because Romney didn’t spend a ton of money on negative ads this time around. In Florida Romney out spent his opponents 10 to 1 with negative ads. “This race has always been about Mitt Romney and his money beating up whoever got in his way. What you saw here, was in a sense a fair fight which is like what is it going to be like in the fall. He won’t have a five to one advantage over Barack Obama going into the fall election. At best it will be a fair fight. He can’t win a fair fight; he got trumped in a fair fight,” Santorum told Hannity.
