Newt Gingrich Liked The Clint Eastwood Halftime Ad

Newt Gingrich has spoken out on behalf of the controversial Clint Eastwood Super Bowl half time ad. “While there’s some controversy about it, I have to confess. I liked the Clint Eastwood halftime ad. I mean, I liked the tone of that ad. I like the idea that the world has counted us down before. We’re just regrouping. And I believe with your help in the primary, with your help in the general election, we can, in fact develop an approach that will put America back on the right track,” Newt Gingrich told a reporter today.

Debbie Stabenow Hopes To Profit From Pete Hoekstra Ad

Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow, a Democrat, is hoping to cash in from her political opponents recent campaign ad. Pete Hoekstra is running a campaign ad against her that many on the left feel is racist. That is the most played out card left in the deck, and we really need to redefine that term. Stabenow refers to the ad as, “nasty” and “shocking.” In the ad Hoekstra refers to her as Debbie Spenditnow because of her spendthrift ways with our money. Stabenow is now using this ad to raise money through a “money bomb” which has raised about half as much as Hoekstra has spent airing the ad so far. This looks to be a fun race to watch this political season with Hoeksrta clearly leading in fantasy points so far.

Mitt Romney Will Succeed Where President Obama Has Failed

Mitt Romney said the GOP will stand together after the primaries no matter the outcome. “We’re going to take our message of liberty and prosperity to every corner of the country, and when this primary season is over, we’re going to stand united as a party behind our nominee to defeat Barack Obama,” Romney told the crowd in Denver after last nights primaries. He congratulated all the republicans, “particularly Santorum,” but Romney went on to say he would be the Republican nominee. Romney recalled President Obama’s speech in Denver 2008. “Under his own definition President Obama has failed. We will succeed,” was the recurring theme during this part of his speech.
