Democrats Claim Mitt Romney Gets It Right Some Of The Time

The Democratic rapid response team have a new ad out that tells us Mitt Romney flip flops on issues. “Mitt Romney changes his views a lot on a lot of issues,” according to the ad. They look at Romney’s views on “whether or not President Obama made the recovery worse, or not worse.” Since Romney goes both ways, he is right some of the time.

President Obama Standing On The Constitution

The Forgotten Man
The Forgotten Man painting by Jon Naughton (Photo Credit: Jon Naughton)

The Drudge Report linked to a painting yesterday called “The Forgotten Man” by artist Jon McNaughton. The painting has all the previous Presidents surrounding a man sitting on a bench with President Obama standing on a page of the Constitution. According to McNaughton, “For a long time I didn’t know if I wanted to paint this picture, because I worried it might be too controversial. This man represents every man, woman, and child who is an American… he hopes to find the American dream of happiness and prosperity.” McNaughton made a video of him creating this painting back in 2010;

Against the background of a darkening sky, all of the past Presidents of the United States gather before the White House, as if to commemorate some great event. In the left hand corner of the painting sits a man. That man, with his head bowed appears distraught and hopeless as he contemplates his future. Some of the past Presidents try to console him while looking in the direction of the modern Presidents as if to say, “What have you done?” Many of these modern Presidents, seemingly oblivious to anything other than themselves, appear to be congratulating each other on their great accomplishments. In front of the man, paper trash is blowing in the wind. Crumpled dollar bills, legislative documents, and, like a whisper—the U.S. Constitution beneath the foot of Barack Obama.

GOP Weekly Address 2/4/2012

From the GOP; “Congressman Pat Meehan (R-PA) delivers this week’s address on our plan for jobs, the House Republican Plan for America’s Job Creators. The House has sent 30 jobs bills to the Democrat-controlled Senate, and they’ve ignored 27 of them. Our nation faces many challenges–gridlock in Washington shouldn’t be one of them.”

Newt Gingrich Agrees With George Soros

Newt Gingrich has a new 2 minute ad out that shows there is little difference between President Obama and Mitt Romney. To prove this point Gingrich breaks out a recent George Soros interview in which he says, “If it’s between Obama and Romney, there isn’t all that much difference except for the crowd that they bring with them.’ According to the ad, “we can not afford two George Soros approved candidates this fall.”

Here is part of the Soros interview from Davos, Switzerland this past week. He is asked if he is one of “Lenin’s useful idiots,” and he responds, “well I suppose so. I’m a traitor to my class.”

President Obama Wants To End The Era Recklessness For Homeowners

President Obama spoke to a crowd in Falls Church, Virginia yesterday 2/1/2012 expanding on his promises to homeowners he gave in his State of the Union speech. He has a new plan to help responsible homeowners refinance their mortgages.

Already, we’ve set up a special task force I asked my Attorney General to establish to investigate the kind of activity banks took when they packaged and sold risky mortgages. And that task force is ramping up its work as we speak. We’re going to keep at it and hold people who broke the law accountable and help restore confidence in the market. We’re going to speed assistance to homeowners. And we’re going to turn the page on an era of recklessness that hurt so many hardworking Americans.
Today, I’m also proposing a Homeowners Bill of Rights — one straightforward set of common-sense rules of the road that every family knows they can count on when they’re shopping for a mortgage. No more hidden fees or conflicts of interest. No more getting the runaround when you call about your loan. No more fine print that you used to get families to take a deal that is not as good as the one they should have gotten. New safeguards against inappropriate foreclosures. New options to avoid foreclosure if you’ve fallen on hardship or a run of bad luck. And a new, simple, clear form for new buyers of a home.

Clint Eastwood Says Ron Paul Is A Nice Guy

The Daily Caller’s Nicholas Ballasy caught up with Clint Eastwood after the ribbon cutting for the new Warner Bros Theater in the National Museum of American History. Eastwood said it would be a “coin flip” over who could do any better than President Obama out of the Republican field. He was asked about which candidate he would support since he is a “self described libertarian.” Eastwood asked, “You want me to go for Ron Paul, is that it?” “I think he’s nice,” Eastwood said. “He’s as good as anybody else. They’re all nice guys. We’ll see what cooks with them.” He hasn’t decided yet saying, “Give me another month or two of just listening to all that crap on television.”

President Obama Goes After His Most Ardent Supporters With New Website

President Obama’s team have launched a new website, African Americans For Obama, designed to go after his loyalist supporters during the 2008 campaign. In 2008 he received 95% support from the black community and he hopes to repeat that in 2012 giving him an instant 10% bump over the republican candidate. The Obama campaign released the following statement;

Today, we’re announcing the 2012 launch of African Americans for Obama.
There’s no better time than African American History Month to consider the tremendous progress we’ve made through the sacrifice of so many—or a better time to commit to meeting the very real challenges we face right now.
Visit africanamericans.barackobama.com for more information about all the ways you can get involved—from attending HBCU organizing workshops to becoming a Congregation Captain—and say you’re ready to keep making history. Thanks, and see you out there.

They call the web site, “a place for our community to get involved and share ideas.” According to the Obama campaign, “President Obama has helped strengthen the African-American community by addressing issues like education, health care, unemployment, and taxes.” He may have “addressed” those issues, but he has yet to deliver on any of those promises. Makes me wonder when the Whites For Romney website launches?
