This Is Why Rick Perry Is Getting Indited

A grand jury indicted Texas Governor Rick Perry on Friday for allegedly abusing the powers of his office by carrying out a threat to veto funding for state prosecutors investigating public corruption. He is the state’s first indicted governor in nearly a century. Perry carried through with his threat after Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg refused to step down after her drunk driving arrest and convection. Here is a video of Lehmberg the night of her arrest.

President Obama Claims The War On Terror Is Over With Recent Prisoner Exchange

President Obama addressed the prisoner exchange today at a presser and said there was a good chance these terrorist will go back to terrorism. According to Obama, ” Is there the possibility of some of them trying to return to activities that are detrimental to us? Absolutely. That’s been true of all the prisoners that were released from Guantanamo. There is a certain rate that takes place.” He also seemed to indicate that the war on terror is over since, “this is what happens at the end of wars. That was true for George Washington, that was true for Abraham Lincoln, that was true for FDR. That has true for every combat situation, that at some point you make sure that you try to get your folks back, ” He didn’t pay attention during his history classes or he would have known all three of his examples were not Presidents at the end of conflicts.

GOP Weekly Address 5/31/2014 Obama “Has Set Out To Kill Coal”

On the eve of next week’s expected announcement regarding President Obama’s proposed national energy tax, Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming says the Administration has set out to kill coal and its 800,000 jobs. “We all want clean air and clean water,” Enzi says in the Weekly Republican Address. “We don’t want costly regulations that make little or no difference, that are making things less affordable. Republicans want electricity and gas when you need it, at a price you can afford.”

President Obama’s Weekly Address 5/31/2014 Climate Change Is A Growing Threat

White House: In this week’s address, President Obama discussed new actions by the Environmental Protection Agency to cut dangerous carbon pollution, a plan that builds on the efforts already taken by many states, cities and companies. These new commonsense guidelines to reduce carbon pollution from power plants were created with feedback from businesses, and state and local governments, and they would build a clean energy economy while reducing carbon pollution. According to the President, “earlier this month, hundreds of scientists declared that climate change is no longer a distant threat – it “has moved firmly into the present.” Its costs can be measured in lost lives and livelihoods, lost homes and businesses; and higher prices for food, insurance, and rebuilding.”
