This Is Why Rick Perry Is Getting Indited

A grand jury indicted Texas Governor Rick Perry on Friday for allegedly abusing the powers of his office by carrying out a threat to veto funding for state prosecutors investigating public corruption. He is the state’s first indicted governor in nearly a century. Perry carried through with his threat after Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg refused to step down after her drunk driving arrest and convection.
