President Obama Says President Reagan Supported Tax Fairness

President Obama is channeling President Reagan to show support for his Buffett Rule. They have a speech with President Reagan disapproving of a bus driver paying less taxes than a millionaire. Since Ronald Reagan was for tax fairness, then it would seem to follow he would support the Buffett Rule.

David Axelrod Says It Is A Choice Between A Growing Economy Or Going Down The Same Road We Are On

President Obama’s chief adviser, David Alexrod, made the case for a Mitt Romney Presidency yesterday by stating he offers a better solution to the economy. “The choice in this election is between an economy that produces a growing middle class, that gives people a chance to get ahead, gives their kids a chance to get ahead and an economy that continues down the road we’re on,” Axelrod said on Fox News Sunday yesterday. Sounds like a Freudian slip to me.

I’m Not Gonna Make Any Excuses For The Hope To Hypocrisy From President Obama

The GOP have come out with a second ad in the “Hope to Hypocrisy” series. This one uses President Obama claiming early on that he was “not gonna make any excuses,” played side by side with his long list of excuses. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a letter to supporters, “For three years, President Obama has been promising a better economy and said he would be held responsible for the outcome. But, when he realized his failed economic policies weren’t working, he decided to blame everyone but himself. Candidate Obama pledged to turn the economy around and get our spending under control. Three years later, his promises don’t match his deeds, so he’s searching for someone to blame. President Truman famously said of the presidency that ‘the buck stops here.’ But all President Obama wants to do is ‘pass the buck.’ The American people are tired of his excuses; if President Obama won’t hold himself accountable, the voters will in November.” If you want to read more about President Obama’s excuses check out this RNC Research Briefing, After Three Years Of Failed Policies, Obama Is Running Out Of People To Blame For His Own Shortcomings.

Mitt Romney Is Just Like Rick Santorum On Women’s Health

Planned Parenthood wants you to “tell Mitt Romney and every other candidate for office that you won’t stand by while they try to tear down Planned Parenthood and turn back the clock on women’s health.” According to them you won’t “miss Rick Santorum. No need to! On women’s health, Mitt Romney is just like Rick. Romney would make it harder to get breast and cervical cancer screenings, he supports laws that could ban birth control and fertility treatments, and of course, he wants to “get rid” of Planned Parenthood.”

“House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) delivers this week’s address on House Republicans’ ‘all-of-the-above’ energy plan to address skyrocketing gas prices and help create jobs. We’ve passed several energy bills now stuck in the Democrat-controlled Senate. If the president and Senate democrats are serious about removing government barriers to energy production and job creation, they’ll consider our bipartisan legislation.”
