President Obama Sings The Blues About Chicago With B. B. King

Tuesday night was blues night at the White House this week 2/21/2012. They were celebrating the blues, and black history month with an all star concert called Red White and Blues. The program included performances by Mick Jagger, B.B. King, Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, Jeff Beck, Gary Clark Jr., Shemekia Copeland, Buddy Guy, Warren Haynes, Keb Mo, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks. B. B. King and Buddy Guy asked President Obama to help them sing the final song, “Sweet Home Chicago.” They sang “Come on, baby don’t you wanna go? Come on, baby don’t you wanna go? Back to that same ole place. Sweet home Chicago.” There is a whole group of Republicans wanting to grant him that wish. And, it seems there is a subliminal message when B. B. King sings, “The Thrill is Gone”, Mick Jagger sings, “Commit a Crime”, and President Obama ends with “Sweet Home Chicago.”
