President Obama Tells Mitt Romney That Politics Ends At The Waters Edge

During a press conference at the G-20 Summit in Mexico President Obama was asked about a comment from a Romney economic adviser in a German publication. President Obama responded by saying, “With respect to Mr. Romney’s advisers, I’d suggest you go talk to Mr. Romney about his advisers. I would point out that we have one president at a time and one administration at a time. And I think traditionally, the notion has been that America’s political differences end at the water’s edge.” Apparently this “water’s edge” policy wasn’t in effect when then candidate Obama gave a foreign policy speech in Germany during the 2008 campaign.
