RNC Release Redistribution Video

The RNC is trying to point out the stark differences between the two candidates with another video released from the past. With the Middle East on fire and the economy in the tank, the two sides seem to be focused on old tapes of the candidates speaking. This ad campaign has as it’s base a recently released video of Illinois State Senator Barack Obama saying in 1998, “I think the trick is figuring out how do we structure government systems that pool resources and hence, facilitate some redistribution because I actually believe in redistribution, at least at a certain level to make sure everybody’s got a shot.” “President Obama simply does not understand what it takes to get our economy moving again,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “He believes that redistributing wealth is what made the American economy work. President Obama is dead wrong. The secret to success in this country is unleashing the American entrepreneur and small business, not making it harder for them to grow with higher taxes, more regulation, and constant demonization. America needs Governor Romney who understands what it means to create jobs and meet a payroll, who will help businesses grow, not chastise them for their successes.” Romney asks in the video, “is it any wonder that someone who attacks success has led the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression?”
