Some Are Praying For Rain On Obama’s Parade

Focus on the Family, a christian group that features James Dobson, had a video on their website asking people to pray for unforeseen rain on August 28 during Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium. They have now pulled the video from their website because of some complaints from Focus members. Stuart Shepard, who is director of digital media at Focus Action, the political arm of Focus on the Family, wrote and starred in the video. He said it was just meant to be “mildly humorous,” and didn’t mean to offend anyone. Tom Minnery, Focus Action vice president of public policy said, “If people took it seriously, we regret it.” In the video Shepard prays for not just rain, but rain of biblical proportions just two minutes before Obama starts his acceptance speech. So much rain that people will not be able to hear or see Obama.

Here is the video from Stuart Shepard praying for rain of biblical proportions;

    this guy is such an idiot. First of all it is now Invesco field (no longer called “Mile High” stadium). Flooding would cause danger to people maybe even deaths. What an idiot. Idiots like this guy on the video give Christianity a bad name.

    By the way John McCain was against (and voted against) the constitutional amendment to define marriage as only happening between one man and one woman. This guy is one hell of a fool!
