Four time mayor of Washington D.C. and current council member Marion Barry was celebrating his victory in the Democratic primary and took the time to speak about the Asians taking over his district. “We got to do something about these Asians coming in and opening up businesses and dirty shops,” Barry said in election night remarks. “They ought to go. I’m going to say that right now. But we need African-American businesspeople to be able to take their places, too.” Nothing racist here, just keep moving.
