Bernie Sanders was asked how could he compete with George Soros and the Koch brothers since he was against PAC monies. Sanders responded saying, “Maybe it is over with. Maybe it can’t happen. Maybe we have moved so far towards an oligarchic form of society, where the big money has so much power, that there may not be candidates who can win elections, because of the power of big money… But let me tell you, I’m going to do my best to see that is not true.”

Bernie Sanders Officially Announces His 2016 Presidential Run

Senator Bernie Sanders held a press conference on April 30th to officially announce his 2016 run for the White House. Sanders spent a great deal of his announcement taking questions from reporters and laying out his agenda for the country, focusing on the wealth gap and the billionaire class that is “literally able to buy elections.”

President Obama’s Weekly Address 5/2/2015 Making Sure Every Child Gets A Great Education

In this week’s address, the President reiterated his commitment to expanding access to education, and to spreading the joy of reading to more children and young adults. He announced a “new project by libraries and major publishers to provide more than $250 million in free e-Books for low-income students.” H also speaks about his, “plan to make two years of community college as free and universal for every American as high school is today.”

President Obama Used Earth Day To Talk About Climate Change

President Obama took his jet and Bill Nye, the TV science guy, to the Florida Everglades to talk about Climate change for Earth Day. He went there, “because in places like this, folks don’t have time, we don’t have time — you do not have time to deny the effects of climate change. Folks are already busy dealing with it. And nowhere is it going to have a bigger impact than here in south Florida. No place else.” Obama claims that with his plan, “We can solve it if we’ve got some political will. And we can solve it in a way that creates jobs. We can solve it in a way that doesn’t disrupt our economy but enhances our economy.”

President Obama Complains That Michelle Doesn’t Get Paid

President Obama addressed a Working Mothers Town Hall during a brief trip to Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday. The issue of pay inequality was brought up and he sidestepped the answer by stating Michelle Obama doesn’t get paid. “Let me tell you, now, Michelle would point out First Ladies get paid nothing,” Obama said to laughter. “So there’s clearly not equal pay in the White House when it comes to her and me.” Never mind she wasn’t hired or elected to do anything. He also fails to consider the perks she gets. She gets more benefits in one year than most people get their whole life. It is also a cleaver way to avoid talking about the real pay discrepancies at the White House. Several stories have demonstrated that currently women get paid less at the White House. He gives lip service and claims he is going to push ahead despite the Republicans. Wasn’t this all settled in 1963 when President Kennedy signed the Equal Pay Act?

Hillary Clinton Wants Unaccountable Money Out Of Politics

We need to fix our dysfunctional political system and get unaccountable money out of it once and for all, even if that takes a constitutional amendment. And we need to protect our country from the threats that we see and the ones that are on the horizon. So, I’m here in Iowa to begin a conversation about how we do that and to hear from people about what’s on your minds, what the challenges you see are and I’m going to work hard to meet as many people.

I’ll be rolling out ideas and policies what about I think will work. But I want it to be informed by what’s actually working. And to build on what works going forward. And to stand up against those who have a different vision of our country, a different one than I grew up with and different one that I think is best for everybody.

Senator Bob Graham Claims The Saudi Government Is Behind 9/11 And FBI Covered It Up

Former head of the Senate intelligence committee and former two-term governor of Florida Bob Graham says that the FBI is covering up knowledge of connections between the Saudi royal family and al-Qaeda. He says the agency has pictures and documents that prove multiple connections between Saudis living in Florida and the 9/11 hijackers. FNC’s Shep Smith and Andrew Napoltiano have the details.

ANDREW NAPOLITANO: What the government reveals to you when you are on the intelligence committee [like Sen. Bob Graham], they make you take an oath not to reveal to anyone, so you are sort of hamstrung. Here you are, a popularly elected official who has made promises to the voters who elected you, and you know these horrible truths and you can’t reveal them.

You may recall Sen. Feinstein got around this by revealing the evidence of torture on the floor of the Senate. Former Senator Graham no longer has access to the floor of the Senate, so he can not reveal the awful truths that the American people want to know.

SHEP SMITH, FNC: Think what he is alleging. He is alleging that the Saudi Arabian government knowingly funded an organization that was about to commit an act of war against the U.S. If what Sen. Graham is saying is true, that is an act of war. They killed 3,000 of our people.

ANDREW NAPOLITANO: He is also alleging the flip side of this, that the American government knows about this

SHEP SMITH: And covered it up.

ANDREW NAPOLITANO: Two presidents [of two different parties].

SHEP SMITH: I don’t know what to think of this. It would be nice to see the 28 pages.

ANDREW NAPOLITANO: I am happy you are bringing this up, these are unhappy truths.

SHEP SMITH: You know what’s going to happen, the truthers are going to go bonkers now, but if Sen. Graham says he wants to know, it would be interesting to find out.
