Ron Paul Is Back On Top At Presidential Idol

Ron Paul won this months Presidential Idol for the first time since winning the whole thing in 2008. Paul came in first with 12.26% of the vote but on his heels all month was Mitt Romney with 11.95%. Newcomers Herman Cain with 9.12% and Michelle Bachmann with 8.49% rounded out the top at third and fourth. This month saw Robert “The Naked Cowboy” Burck get kicked off with only .63% of the vote. Burck doesn’t spend a lot of time campaigning or visiting news programs so he didn’t garner many votes here. Now we start all over for the month of July with Presidential Idol and everyone is at zero waiting for votes. At the end of the month we will kick off another candidate until finally in 2012 we can pick the next Presidential Idol.

Mitt Romney Says Obama Isn’t Working

Mitt Romney made a stop in Allentown, Pennsylvania at the Allentown Metal Works. This place was also the backdrop for President Obama in December of 2009 to brag about the success of his stimulus programs. The plant is currently shut down with weeds overgrowing the area. According to Romney, “This president came here and called this a symbol of hope. It is a symbol of failure, failure of his economic policy. He’s out of his depth. When it comes to getting the economy going, it’s just not something he understands.” Romney also used this as an opportunity to point out that President Obama spends a lot of time on the campaign trail. President Obama was campaigning in Pennsylvania at the same time as Romney. “The president ought to be in Washington meeting with Republicans, meeting with Democrats,” Romney said. “He shouldn’t leave that town until he has an understanding of what it is going to take to get this economy going again and deal with this financial crisis. But he is here raising money for the campaign.”
Then Romney used this as an ad campaign with a new ad called, ‘Obama Isn’t Working’;

From the Romney campaign; “Over 100,000 Pennsylvania jobs lost since President Obama took office. 39,800 manufacturing jobs lost since 2009. 470,774 people looking for work. Obama isn’t working.”

Michelle Bachmann Makes It Official In Iowa

Michelle Bachmann made it official today in Waterloo, Iowa. “Don’t mistake my happy memories of growing up here in Waterloo, Iowa as pining for the past. I recognize it’s impossible to turn the clock back and to go back to a different day. Instead, I want this moment to serve as a reminder of the best of who we are as a nation and of what our values are, and what it is to make America great. To recapture its best for the promise of the future. I want my candidacy for the presidency of the United States to stand for a moment when we the people stand once again for the independence from a government that has gotten too big and spends too much and has taken away too much of our liberties,” Bachmann told the crowd in Iowa today.

Gary Johnson Talks On CNN 6/24/2011

Republican candidate Gary Johnson goes on CNN to talk with Joe Johns who was filling in for John King. Johnson talks about abortions and the legalization of marijuana. Johnson was a popular two time governor of New Mexico, and a true libertarian. To bad that the mainstream media has not learned how to question a libertarian. They seem fascinated with the whole idea of big government getting out of our lives, and always go to the legalization of drugs question. They just don’t understand. It’s not that Ron Paul and Gary Johnson are pro-drugs for recreation, it’s just that they want a smaller government footprint in our lives.
