Former Clinton Precinct Captain Now Caucuses For Obama

Barack Obama has released a video on YouTube that has a former precinct captain for Hillary Clinton’s campaign telling us why she now caucuses for Barack Obama. Susan Klopfer, from Iowa, explains that she used to be excited about Clinton’s campaign, but the personal attacks by the Clinton camp have turned Klopfer away from her. Klopfer has always been active in politics, and was even a Precinct Captain for Clinton.

Mike Huckabee Says America Needs More Of God

Mike Huckabee gave a speech Sunday before a group of Southern Baptist pastors who are about to attend their annual convention in Salt Lake City. He told the pastors that government was to big because not enough people have taken Christ as their savior. “The reason we have so much government is because we have so much broken humanity,” he said. “And the reason we have so much broken humanity is because sin reigns in the hearts and lives of human beings instead of the Savior.” “Government knows it does not have the answer, but it’s arrogant and acts as though it does,” Huckabee said. “Church does have the answer but will cowardly deny that it does and wonder when the world will be changed.” Huckabee used recent school shootings as an example of, “the winds of spiritual change in a nation that has forgotten its God.” Huckabee just released a book that he passed out at the convention that deals with school shootings called, ‘Kids Who Kill: Confronting our Culture of Violence’. “The shootings were just one more wake-up call to the nation,” he said. “I fear we will turn and hit the snooze button one more time and lose this great republic of ours.” “I hope we answer the alarm clock and take this nation back for Christ,” he said. He told the crowd that taxes are so high because people don’t give enough to their churches. “I’m often asked why taxes are so high and government is so big. It’s because the faith we have in local churches has become so small. If we’d been doing what we should have, giving a dime from every dollar to help the widows, the orphans and the poor, we now wouldn’t be giving nearly 50 cents of every dollar to a government that’s doing … what we should have been doing all along.” Huckabee also explained why he left the ministry for politics. “I didn’t get into politics because I thought government had a better answer. I got into politics because I knew government didn’t have the real answers, that the real answers lie in accepting Jesus Christ into our lives.” He said that getting into politics is like, “getting inside the dragon’s belly.” He added that, “there’s not one thing we can do in those marbled halls and domed capitols that can equal what’s done when Jesus touches the lives of a sinner.” One of the notions of our founding fathers was the separation of church and state. Sounds like Huckabee would like to save our country for Christ.

Tom Tancredo Refuses To Debate Because They Are Speaking Spanish

Tom Tancredo refused to participate in the Spanish-language debate with his fellow GOP presidential candidates in Miami on Sunday, and accused the other candidates of “pandering.” “It is the law that to become a naturalized citizen of this country you must have knowledge and understanding of English, including a basic ability to read, write, and speak the language,” Tancredo said. “So what may I ask are our presidential candidates doing participating in a Spanish speaking debate?” “Bilingualism is a great asset for any individual, but it has perilous consequences for a nation,” Tancredo said. “As such, a Spanish debate has no place in a presidential campaign.” Tancredo has made immigration a centerpiece of his candidacy. His two campaign ads have focused on border security and threats ranging from terrorist to gangs.

White House Lies Again For War

Last week The National Intelligence Estimate was released after a year of delay and cajoling by Bush and Cheney. The NIE is the concensus opinion of the top 16 US Intelligence agencies. It stated unequivocally that Iran shut down its nuclear weapons development in 2003. Again, 16 agencies agreed that this was the fact.
The President and Vice President had this information for over a year. During that time they tried every trick in the book, as reported by agency officers, to get the report changed to say Iran is after nuclear weapons. Also, during this time they beat the drums to go to war by trying to scare us, the citizens of the US, with quotes about World War 3, mushroom clouds, a crazy dictator with his finger on the button, and a nuclear threat to Israel, all the time KNOWING it was untrue.
After it was released, Bush’s National Security Advisor even went so far as to say that the report confirmed the White House position that Iran was after a nuclear weapon. I assume he was expecting that no one would read it and that the media would simply repeat his words without checking the facts.
I bring this up because this is another incident of treasonous action by The White House. Simply, in the legal charge of treason, the presenting of falsified evidence in order to start or expand a war is treason. This is only one instance in a long line of treasonous acts. I wish that I’d have documented them all as they happened. The White House is now saying that the report was CHANGED the day before the report was put out and after they made their march to war case against Iran. Now you tell me what’s more likely, that they were lying or that 16 governmental intelligence agencies changed each of their reports 180 degrees the day before the Bush and Cheney allowed it to be released after The White House delayed it for over a year.
Most important, as the democrats are too spineless to impeach, is that we all recognize that every Republican candidate except Ron Paul followed the White House lies. All of these candidates have access to individuals in the intelligence agencies. In fact some have very close ties and surely had read the report prior to release, yet still decided to continue the march to war. It is equally important to know that some Democratic candidates, most notably Clinton and Obama, even after the last 6 years of continuous lies by the administration and even with their own contacts with intelligence officials, followed the path to war with Iran.
So the question is who will not follow the insanity of continued war? We know Kucinich and Paul, but what about someone who can actually win? Someone who said we ought not believe what the White House was saying? How about the guy who took responsibility for and regrets his initial vote for war with Iraq? How about Edwards?

Joe Biden Wants A Special Counsel To Investigate CIA

Joe Biden is calling for the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate the CIA’s destruction of videotapes. The CIA recently admitted it destroyed tapes of interrogations of terrorist suspects. “Under federal law, the Attorney General may appoint a Special Counsel to prosecute matters when he or she determines that an investigation by the Department itself would present a conflict of interest, or there are other extraordinary circumstances and it would be in the public interest to do so. I believe these conditions are met,” Biden said in a news release on Sunday. “This is a White House that has sanctioned and pushed for the kind of interrogation techniques captured on those video tapes,” Biden said. “This is a White House that was informed of the CIA’s desire to destroy those tapes. Thus, it is possible this investigation could lead to the White House.”

Tickets For Oprah Obama Show Going Fast

Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey have gave away all of the free tickets for their show at Columbia, South Carolina. The event will be held at the Colonial Center, an arena that seats about 18,000. People camped out all night long to get the free tickets. There will also be a show in Manchester, New Hampshire, but that is sold out as well. There are still tickets available for the two shows Saturday, in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The media attention surrounding Oprah at these events can only help Obama, especially with the women vote.

Barack Obama Should Toss Rove’s Advice In Garbage

Barack Obama received some unsolicited advice from Republican strategist Karl Rove through an article in the Financial Times on Sunday. Rove offered Obama some suggestions to help him beat Hillary Clinton. Rove suggests in the article that Obama must, “First, stop acting like a vitamin-deficient Adlai Stevenson. Striking a pose of being high-minded and too pure will not work. Americans want to see you scrapping and fighting for the job, not in a mean or ugly way but in a forceful and straightforward way.” So Rove thinks the Democrats need to scrap a little more. He tells Obama he acts like a wuss when he is around Clinton. Rove says Obama appears “weak and ineffectual.” “In some debates, you do not even look at her when disagreeing with her, making it look as if you are afraid of her.” Rove said the second thing Obama needs to do is, “focus on the fact that many Democrats have real doubts about Hillary. They worry she cannot win, will be a drag on the ticket and that if she got to the White House it would be a disaster.” That one comes straight from the White House and Republican talking points. I guess if you say it enough it becomes the truth. The third suggestion was pretty basic. Rove tells Obama, “when you create controversies do not pick issues where you are playing the weaker hand.” Rove uses this suggestion actually to take a swipe at Obama’s lack of foreign policy experience. Rove offers a few more basic suggestions that most politicians already have a grasp on. His sixth suggestion is, “find a way to gently belittle her whenever she tries to use disagreements among Democrats as an excuse to complain about being picked on.” Rove then tells Obama that Hillary is not a nice person like Bill Clinton was. Hillary is, “cold, distant and conspiracy-minded, more like Richard Nixon.” How about more like Karl Rove, which this seems to describe to the tee.
Obama should take this advice and use it in the bird cage to catch the poop, because that is about all it is worth to him. For the most part this is basic, at best, political advice. The rest is just trying to encourage the Democrats to scrap and belittle each other. Some are saying that Rove is just lonely and can’t stand to be away from the political process. But then they ignore the fact that he is a hard core Republican, and would have no reason to help a Democrat at all. He is just waiting for the right Republican to come out of the pact to offer his services to. He was going to jump on the Fred Thompson bandwagon, but as soon as Thompson opened his mouth he went from stud to dud. Then talks of Rove being on his team just disappeared. Notice also he used a European paper to publish this drivel. Apparently he couldn’t find an American paper to publish his propaganda, but Fox News will tell us all about it. Are the Republicans really that afraid of Clinton that they feel they need to manipulate the process in any way possible? At this point the White House is for the Democrats to lose thanks to 8 years of George Bush. Karl Rove’s advice should be ignored by all candidates, Republican and Democrat. All he has to offer is manipulation, cheating, and lies. Do we really want 4 more years of that?
