Edwards Ponders WWJD While Hillary Calls for Girl Power

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will cross paths again next Monday when both are scheduled to speak before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, AIPAC during their major Washington policy conference. I wonder if Hillary’s accent will change again they way it did in Selma. Obama just spoke before AIPAC in Chicago on Friday where he gave a pro-Isreal speech. Obama said, Isreal is, “our strongest ally in the region and its only established democracy.” It must have been a good speech, because he is the closing speaker on Monday. Also speaking as the keynote speaker is V.P. Dick Cheneny.
Hillary Clinton spoke today at a luncheon for EMILY’s list, a national political committee that raises money for Democratic women candidates who favor abortion rights. Hillary used this time to launch a call to all woman, “Today, women are a majority of the voters, a majority of students in college, and we are a growing presence in the Congress. But there are still far too few women in leadership positions,” Hillary then asked for their help, “I hope you’ll join me on the campaign trail,” she said. “When we throw open the doors of opportunity and break those glass ceilings, then we give everyone in America a chance to be all that he or she can be.” EMILY’s list endorsed Hillary for president. Hillary also announced that she was launching another web sight, http://www.icanbepresident.com, which will be aimed at younger woman. It will promote the notion to young woman that they too can be president. To join up with woman for Hillary link here. Hillary also told gays she wants a partnership with them if elected President. That is from an unpublicized speech she made Friday to the Human Rights Campaign, a leading gay rights group.
WWJT John Edwards was telling people what Jesus would think in an interview for web site beliefnet.com. Edwards said that “I think that Jesus would be disappointed in our ignoring the plight of those around us who are suffering and our focus on our own selfish short-term needs. I think he would be appalled, actually.” Edwards also said that Jesus would be dissappointed with our willingness to go to war “when it’s not necessary.”
In an interview with Fox News Mike Bloomberg said he might run, but he wouldn’t announce it on Fox and Friends, “I wouldn’t do it on this show anyway, even though EVERYBODY watches it”

Barack Obama Inhaled Frequently, and Liked It

This is from an October, 07 interview before Obama announced his run. Obama admited he inhaled when asked about his drug use, “When I was a kid, I inhaled.”..”That was the point.” This is in direct contrast to when Bill Clinton was asked, and he said he didn’t inhale, but had tried marijuana. And then there’s Bush’s complete denial about his cocaine use. Obama is a breath of fresh pot air. Something we need in more politicians, a bit of honesty. In the interview Obama went on to explain, “It was reflective of the struggles and confusion of a teenage boy,” he said. “Teenage boys are frequently confused.”

Ann Coulter Apologizes To Somebody While Conservatives Line Up Behind Her

Ann Coulter apologized for her faggot remark about Edwards. Coulter said, “C’mon, it was a joke. I would never insult gays by suggesting that they are like John Edwards. That would be mean.” McCain, Romney, and Giuliani all denounced Coulter for the original remark. It is typical stuff from her, and it got laughs as the right wingers are quick to point out when they claim it was a joke. Coulter has written some harsh stuff about liberals in the past, and CPAC knew exactly what they where getting. An example of Coulters hate can be seen in this Feb. 28 article from her syndicated column,

Liberals have always had a thing about eliminating humans. Stalin wanted to eliminate the kulaks and Ukranians, vegetarian atheist Adolf Hitler wanted to eliminate the Jews, Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger wanted to eliminate poor blacks, DDT opponent Rachel Carson wanted to eliminate Africans (introduction to her book “Silent Spring” written by … Al Gore!), and population-control guru Paul Ehrlich wants to eliminate all humans.

She has also called Arabs “ragheads”, joked about “taking a shot” at killing Bill Clinton, has joked about assassinating Justice John Paul Stevens, called Al Gore a “total fag,” has suggested that Bill and Hillary Clinton are gay, and claimed that 9/11 widows were “enjoying” their husbands’ deaths among many other things.
Right Wingers have been backing her up on this one claiming it was just a joke. Pat Buchanan and Tucker Carlson called her “courageous.” John Gibson launched distortions about Bill Maher to defend Coulter. And on Fox News Tonight Ann Coulter fires back at her critics after her controversial comments about John Edwards on Hannity and Colmes. This is the top video on fox News right now.
If Ann had a real argument to back up her bullshit she wouldn’t need to stoop to this level. She really isn’t sorry about any of it, and will continue to spew this stuff. As long as the right embraces her, they too are guilty by proxy of the same hateful mindset.

Barack and Hillary Cross Bridges In Selma And Rudy Says Leave Me Alone

On March 7, 1965 600 voter rights marchers where met by police with billy clubs and tear gas on the bridge in Selma Alabama. Now, 42 years later the marchers in Selma are met by a press pool following Barack and Hillary fighting for the black vote. Hillary brought out her big guns, the first “black President”, her husband Bill Clinton. While there Bill got inducted into Selma’s Voting Rights Hall of Fame. Hillary spoke at the First Baptist Church. She also started talking with a strange southern accent, must have been the water. Both candidates seemed to have praise for the other. Hillary said, “It’s excellent that we have a candidate like Barack Obama who embodies what all of you fought for here 42 years ago,” and Obama had this to say about Hillary, she is “doing an excellent job for this country and we’re going to be marching arm-in-arm.” They really didn’t walk hand in hand, but they stopped and chatted for a second before moving back to opposite sides of the street. The biggest applause of the day was reserved for Bill though who said the 2008 campaign has “a rainbow coalition running for president.” Bill even took a minute to give Barack a hug for some picture time. John Edwards spoke about Selma to, but he was on the other side of the country in Berkeley, California.
Rudy Giuliani’s son, Andrew Giuliani says that Rudy would make a better President than he did dad. On Good Morning America Andrew said, “I got my values from my mother. She’s a strong influence in my life. She’s a strong woman. I have problems with my father, but that doesn’t mean he won’t make a good president.” Seems Andrew doesn’t get along with Rudy’s latest wife. Rudy told the press to leave him alone about this type of stuff, saying, “I believe that these problems with blended families, you know, are challenges — sometimes they are,” he said. “The more privacy I can have for my family, the better we are going to be able to deal with all these difficulties.” This all sidetracked Giuliani’s trip to California to meet with sheriffs from Southern California and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Conservatives Meet And Ann Coulter Endorses Mitt Romney for President

The more than 6,000 conservatives just got together in Washington D.C. for a three day Conservative Political Action Conference, CPAC They spent a bit of time blasting President Bush for not being conservative enough like their late hero Ronald Reagan. Among the speakers were Rudy Guiliani, Mitt Romney, Sam Brownback, Duncan Hunter, Mike Huckabee, Tom Tancredo, V.P. Dick Cheney, Sean Hannity, Tom Delay, Newt Gingrich, Ann Coulter, and others. The one major candidate not present was John McCain. Duncan Hunter talked about building fences, because according to him immigration is the most important issue in 08. He also spoke about unfair trade policies, mostly with China, and the Iraq war. Hunter said this about the war, and America’s interest in the world “If the Democrat leadership in the United States House of Representatives wants to cut off reinforcements or cut off supplies for our troops in need on the battlefield, our troops will never forgive them and the American people will never forgive them.”….”There can be no debate about the fact that it is in our interest to expand freedom around the world.” Mike Huckabee tried to win the crowd over with humor by calling CPAC the, “Conservative Presidential Anxiety Conference,” with all it’s members saying, “Dude, where’s my candidate?” Huckabee also said, “I hear people say that, well, the only thing that’s going to matter in this election is celebrity and money — who has the most familiar name and who’s raised the most money,” he said. “My dear friends, may I say to you that if celebrity and money are the criteria to be President of the United States, then Paris Hilton might be our next president.” Huckabee pointed out that he was different from the other candidates. He also spoke about the Islamic terrorist for a bit, saying, “There can be no negotiation with radical Islamic fascists…They are not interested in detente, they are not interested in some type of peaceful coexistence. They are solely interested in…our absolute annihilation and destruction.” Mitt Romney was there too, and he brought along a handful of paid college students to cheer and vote for him. Bringing the kids along helped Romney because he won the straw poll. He fed the CPAC faithful a good dose of cutting taxes, stopping abortions, anti-immigration, and reducing the size of government. He introduced columnist Ann Coulter, who spoke after him, by saying, “I’m happy to learn that after I speak you’re going to hear from Ann Coulter. That’s a good thing. I think it’s important to get the views of moderates.” So that means he thinks he is right of little miss Coulter. Strangely enough he doesn’t include the Coulter remarks on his websight where he has excerpts from his CPAC speech. Miss Coulter’s comments actually garnered more attention than any of the Presidential candidates. In one of her common hate speeches Coulter was talking about Democratic candidate John Edwards. Coulter said, “I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot,’ so I — so kind of an impasse, can’t really talk about Edwards.” Coulter has in the past called other Democrats gay, once saying she would put even money on Hillary Clinton “coming out of the closet” in 08, she said Bill Clinton showed “some level of latent homosexuality,” and has called Al Gore “a total fag.” Coulter also endorsed Romney as the next best candidate for conservatives, saying, “Romney is the best candidate we have,”……”He tricked liberals into voting for him. I like a guy who hoodwinks the voters so easily.” That is a good quality? Newt Gingrich spoke about how republicans were smarter that democrats. He wants to make English the official language. He also talked about Hurricane Katrina a bit and blamed the people of New Orleans 9th ward for their distress by saying, “How can you have the mess we have in New Orleans, and not have had deep investigations of the federal government, the state government, the city government, and the failure of citizenship in the Ninth Ward, where 22,000 people were so uneducated and so unprepared, they literally couldn’t get out of the way of a hurricane.” Rudy Guiliani spent some time invoking Reagan. He used Reagan’s “peace through strength,’’ when talking about combatting terrorist. He tried to adress the issue of his changing policies by saying, “You and I have a lot of common beliefs that are the same and some that are different. … We don’t all agree on everything. I don’t agree with myself on everything.’’ Guiliani had this to say about Iraq, “Our desire right now is to have peace, and maybe we made a mistake in calling this the war on terror. This is not our war on them. This is their war on us”.…“This war is over when they stop planning to come here and kill us. When that ends, the war is over.’’ It is a shame that Ann Coulter’s remarks overshadowed this whole event. They knew her hate when they invited her though, and they applauded and laughed when she said it. It just like the old saying goes, if you lay with dawgs, you might get fleas.

McCain Uses Obama’s Wasted Remark and Feels Bad About It

On David Letterman McCain said, “Americans are very frustrated, and they have every right to be. We’ve wasted a lot of our most precious treasure, which is American lives.” That means he said that the soldiers lives were wasted, which is the same thing Obama said in early February while campaigning in Iowa. When asked about the McCain’s comment, Obama gave him a pass saying, “I think nobody would question Senator McCain’s dedication to our veterans,” ….. “We have a duty to make sure that we are honoring their sacrifice by giving them missions in which they can succeed … I’m positive that was the intent in which he meant it. It was the same intent I had when I made my statement.” The DNC got on McCain’s case about this remark right away. How come they where silent when Obama said it? McCain did feel bad about his wasted statment, and said he “should have used the word, sacrificed, as I have in the past.” John McCain is a great American hero, and would not say anything disparaging about soldiers. The candidates slips about this war most likely mean they think this whole war was a wasted effort. The truth is we will be no better off after the Iraq war is all settled. Terrorist have become more embolden by Bush’s cowboy foreign policies, and terrorist attacks have actually gone up since Bush started his war on terror. This war in Iraq has lttle to do with the terrorist that flew those planes into the Twin Towers, and has even less to do with the war on Terror. It is, and will be a wasted war, where many lives, American and Iraqis have been wasted. I asked last time for what purpose are these soldiers dying, and was told for my right to write things like this. Do these people really believe that Iraq has anything to do with the first amendment? The only one threatening those rights is the Bush administration with their homeland security acts.

The Right Wing Attack on Al Gore and Why Vulcans Would Agree With Global Warming

Just fresh off his Oscar win for his documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth,” Al Gore is facing heat from the Right wing for his energy use in his home in Nashville. The Tennessee Center for Policy Research, a “nonpartisin group,” accused Gore of not walking the walk because he used 20 times more electricity at his Nashville house than the average house does. The right wing press took this one a ran. They failed to mention that Gore lives in a 20 room mansion, with a large guest house and heated pool. There is also three offices ran out of this house. Gore is in process of installing solar panels, has installed insulating windows, and the Gores purchase their electricity through a TVA program called the local Green Power Switch program — electricity generated through renewable resources such as solar, wind, and methane gas, which create less waste and pollution. They also participate in the carbon footprint program. The right wingers also forgot to mention that the group was not really a “nonpartisim group,” and in fact accepted donations form major oil corporations. Another interesting fact about this group that was hard to find in the regular media, was they never even asked the local electric company for this information, nor did the electric company give this information out to anyone. So the claim by The Tennessee Center for Policy Research was made up. The fact that the right wingers picked such a weak “think tank”, with an even weaker argument says alot. They can’t attack the message so they went straight for the messenger. If you look at the whole global warming thing logically then you have to decide that it is best to be on the side of Al Gore. If we take the right wing approach that global warming is just a cycle, and they are wrong; then the whole world will change as we know it for our children. With a right wing approach and the right wingers are right, that it is just a cycle, then we will continue to use oil like no tomorrow. Big Oil, and big buisness will get bigger, and the US will stay dependent on foreign oil. And gas prices will……?? Now if we take the left wing approach, and they are wrong; then we have saved a bit of gas by using alternative fuels. We will be less dependent on foreign oils, and the air should be cleaner as a result. If we take the left wing approach, and they are right; then we better pray they can figure this stuff out and fix our planet before it is to late. Logically, the best approach is; we take the left wing approach and hope the right wingers are right about it all being a cycle. All other ways lead to disaster.
