Is Hillary Falling for Bush’s Tricks Again, This Time With Iran?

Speaking this week at a dinner held by the nation’s largest pro-Israel lobbying group, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Hillary sounded a lot like President Bush when talking about Iran. “U.S. policy must be clear and unequivocal: We cannot, we should not, we must not permit Iran to build or acquire nuclear weapons,” Clinton told the audience. “In dealing with this threat … no option can be taken off the table.” “We need to use every tool at our disposal, including diplomatic and economic in addition to the threat and use of military force,” Clinton said. Hillary also mentioned the recent Holocaust conference that was held in Iran to further demostrate that Iran is anti Isreal, and hence anti American. She called them pro terrorist, saying Iran “uses its influence and its revenues in the region to support terrorist elements.” This all sounds very much like the war drumbeat being played by the Bush adminstration. Dehumanizing the enemy, softens us up, to make us more willing to support a war agianst them. Does Hillary speak out of both sides of her mouth? Adjusts her speechs for audience? After the Iran war will Hillary say that Bush lied, and try to blame her past mistakes on someone else agian? As the great President Bush once said, “There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”

Al Gore Nominated For Being Noble, and McCain Blasts A General

Rumors are going around about Al Gore, first the Oscar nominated documentary, and now a 2007 Nobel Peace Prize nominee. What’s next, the President ? Rolling Stone Magazine says this about Al Gore, “the ideal candidate for the Democrats may be the man who won the popular vote in 2000 — and who opposed the war in Iraq from the very start.” John McCain blasted General George Casey who led the Iraq war for 2 and half years. McCain said before the Senate Armed Services Committe to the General, “While I don’t in any way question your honor, your patriotism or your service to our country, I do question some of the decisions, the judgments you’ve made over the past two and a half years,” McCain said. “During that time things have gotten markedly and progressively worse.” The General was before the committe to get approval for nomination to be Army chief of staff, replacing Gen. Peter Schoomaker. McCain went on to say, “I question seriously the judgment that was employed in your execution of your responsibilities in Iraq,” he said. “And we have paid a very, very heavy price in American blood and treasure because of what is now agreed to by literally everyone as a failed policy.” here! here!
Also in the news, the Democratic National Committee will meet this Friday and Saturday in Washington, and Democratic Presidential hopefuls will get an opportunity to woo the DNC members with speeches.

Biden Says Obama is A Clean African American

In a story in the New York Observer
today Joe Biden has a lot to say about his opponents. According to the article, “Mrs. Clinton’s position on Iraq, Mr. Biden says, would be “nothing but disaster.” About John Edwards, Biden says I don’t think John Edwards knows what the heck he is talking about.” And then there is the part about Obama, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” he said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” Hard to find a clean black man in Biden’s circles I guess. Biden said it came from an old expression his mom used to use, “clean as a whistle.” And that explains it how? Anyway maybe he can tell us more tonite on The Daily Show, that should score him some points in Fantasy Politics 2008 THE GAME, but probably none in the hearts of voters.

Fox News Reports Aqua Teen Hunger Force Mooninites Responsible For Terror Attack in Boston

Fox news has spent most the afternoon talking about suspicious packages left behind all around Boston. They attirbute it to the Mooninites, Ignignokt and Err, from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. A stoner show according to Shepard Smith. This leads me to believe that there is a bunch of stoners at Fox News, since they so easily determined who was responsible. It’s just more of the politics of Fear spread by the right wingers. Gives them the opportunity to talk about Terror.
Terror here, Terror there, terror everywhere. For a closer look at President Bush’s Terror talk in the 2007 State of the Union check out Keith Olbermann’s view in this video, where Olbermann said Bush was 0 for 4.

The Decider Is Not Alone With Deciding, And Hillary Knows Evil Men

On Tuesday Senator Arlen Spector stated that, “I would suggest respectfully to the president that he is not the sole decider.” Spector suggests that decisions regarding the war in Iraq should be shared. Barack Obama even made a decision about Iraq, and announced he would introduce the Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007. Joe Biden is in, (I thought he did this already). His Web sight www.joebiden.com official starts Jan. 31, and he files with the FEC the same day. On Monday Hillary was asked about how she would handle evil men like Osama? She answered by saying” . . and in the gentleman’s words we face a lot of evil men, you know, like Osama bin Laden. And what in my background equips me to deal with evil and bad men?” Long pause with laughter. She later claimed the man she was referring to was not her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and said, “Oh, come on,” …… “Well, I don’t think anybody in there thought that.” No one, except everyone in there, and everyone else that hears it. For some reason, I think the whole thing was planned out, they where just waiting for the right question.

Hillary Courts The Union, And Why Wal-Mart Sucks

On Monday Hillary Clinton meet privatly with the board of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, UFCW. UFCW spokesman said they would meet with other potential presidential candidates through the year. They have said they would not endorse anyone yet. UFCW, which represents retail and grocery workers, is a big backer of Wake Up Wal-Mart, an organization formed to pressure Wal-Mart to boost wages and benefits for its workers. An interesting sidenote to this is that Hillary was on Wal-Mart’s board from 1986 to 1992, but now has become a critic of the giant retailer. Union endorsement is a big boost to any camaign. And now why Wal-Mart sucks; If you listen to the right wing press the economy is great! Fox News reports records stock market highs almost every day. The Bulls and Bears only see Bulls. 30 years ago the largest employer was General Moters with a union represnting it’s workers making a living wage. Now the largest employer is retail giant Wal-Mart, a union busting company that pays it’s employees a poverty level wage. The average employee toils for $8.23 an hour that amounts to about $16,700 a year gross. But that’s if you are lucky enough to get 40 hours a week which is hard since Wal-Mart defines full time as 36 hours. Also reports have shown that up to 80% of the money earned at the Wal-Mart store goes out of the community, compared to the monies that stay in the community when it has just mom and pop retail stores. Wal-Mart is bigger than the next five biggest retailers. They dictate policies to venders, to the vender eventual demise, read this link,
to see what Wal-Mart did to Vlassic pickle, and how they treat other venders. Frontline also did a good job with Is Wal-Mart Good For America? Wal-Mart does recognize all this bad press, they have hired top dollar PR firms to help them out, and now they have even started opening up an upscale versions of Wal-Mart But as shown in this AlterNet article, it’s just window dressing with the same dirty practices in a prettier suit. You can go ahead and save, but you are paying the devil.

A New Add From Wes Clark and His Friends at VoteVets.org

This is a new ad from http://www.votevets.org. I found the ad on Wes Clarks web sight securing America. This ad is against the troop escalation in the war in Iraq. Vote Vets is using this ad to target Senators that have not come out in favor of the Senate resalution. They plan on airing these ads in these Senators districts, or as VoteVets says, promote this “ad with a two-day, seven-city tour, that will take this battle right into the Senators’ back yards.”

Mr Straight Talk McCain is This Elections Flip Flop Guy

The Folks at The Real McCain have created a new short video that shows two sides of John McCain. On the outside John McCain seems to be the perfect candidate. A war hero, many years experience in the Senate, but according to those that have to work close with him, he’s not such a nice guy. In a Sidney Blumenthal article in the Guardian called The Myth of McCain, Blumenthal talks about “another side of the action hero – a volatile man with a hair-trigger temper, who shouted at Senator Ted Kennedy on the Senate floor to “shut up”, and called fellow Republican senators “shithead … fucking jerk … asshole”. He was also caught being rude to Arianna Huffington in Davos. I guess the golden boy Republican front runner is a bit stressed by all this campaigning and stuff, or is it his advanced age? I’m not to sure he can make it through another grueling Presidential campaign.

Heard It On The Sunday News Shows, The Emboldened Enemies

Joe Lieberman the ex Democratic Senator declared on Fox News Sunday that he would consider voting for a Republican candidate for President. Asked if he might consider voting Republican in 2008, Lieberman, who was the Democratic vice presidential nominee in 2000 with Al Gore, said, “I am, because we have so much on the line both in terms of the Islamist terrorists, who are an enemy as brutal as the fascists and communists we faced in the last century, and we have great challenges here at home to make our economy continue to produce good jobs, to deal with our crises in health care, education, immigration, and energy.” And while we are speaking of switch hitters, Fox “News” Bill O’Reilly’s show has decided that Mark Foley, the disgraced Florida Republican Congressman, is now a Democrat. Senator Sam Brownback was also on Fox “News” Sunday and claimed “I don’t see this enemy as needing any more emboldening or getting it from any resolution. They’re emboldened now.” The transcript from his interview with Chris Wallace is a good read. Joseph Biden was seen on “This Week” saying that Bush had it backwards. It’s not the hippie, liberal, pinko, anti war crowd that emboldens the enemy, but it’s, “the failed policy of this president going to war without a strategy, going to war prematurely.” Hillary was spotted campaigning in Iowa for the first time, where she is a bit behind in the polls. She was also caught singing the National Anthem. in Iowa. I hope she campaigns better than she sings. While in Iowa Hillary stopped to talk about Iraq. When asked why she voted for the war in 2002 she responded by saying if she knew what she knows now she would not have voted for the war in Iraq, but there are no do overs in life. Hillary also said that Bush needs to clean up this mess before the next President takes office, saying it would be “the height of irresponsibility” to pass the war along to the next commander in chief. The White House responded by saying Hillary just emboldens the enemy, she’s against us, you see… Rudy Giuliani was in New Hampshire talking like a candidate again. He was the darling candidate at the New Hampshire Republican State Committee’s annual meeting, at the Palace Theatre. Also appearing in New Hampshire, but making less of a hit was Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore. They were trying to attrack anyone to listen to them talk by giving away free lunches. McCain was also giving away lunches, but didn’t even bother to attend himself. What i didn’t see to much on the Sunday news shows was the protest in DC. This was the largest protest in DC since the begning of the war in March of 2003. Only one major (well at least in his mind) presidential candidate appeared at the protest. Dennis Kucinich stood up and asked for his party to end funding for the war. There were other Democratic Congressial members speaking too. Hanoi Jane Fonda was there along with some other actors, and some veterans from the Iraq war. United for Peace and Justice, the protest organizers claim over 100,000 people in attendance. DC police privatly state, (I guess they whispered it in someone’s ear), that it was less than 100,000. Most newspaper reports, call it “tens of thousands”. Really don’t want to much of this peace talk getting out, might embolden the enemy….

Huckabee Ready to Set up Committe to See If He Is Ready

Conservative favorite, Mike Huckabee, a former Arkansas Governor has stated he will file papers to set up an exploitroy committe. Hillary Clinton has been using the web to reach out. Three times this week Hillary has had “web chats” on “Hillary TV.” Barack Obama has the Hollywood crowd excited, with Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen setting up a big fund raiser in his behalf at the Beverly Hills Hilton with a party afterwards at Geffen’s house.
