If President Obama Thinks It Worked, Then He Is Out Of Touch

“Today’s weak GDP number is just more devastating news for struggling American families. Our economy is growing far too slowly, proving President Obama’s lack of focus on jobs is taking its toll,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “The president claims to be fighting for middle class jobs, but he has not had a Daily Economic Briefing on his official schedule in over a year. He also has not bothered to meet with his Jobs Council in over six months, but he did manage to attend over 110 fundraisers and play 10 rounds of golf in that time. Clearly, he has revealed his true priorities. Instead of spending his time fighting for American jobs, President Obama is working desperately to save his own. As a result, 23 million Americans are struggling for work. We need a new president who understands how the economy works and who will make job creation his number one priority. Mitt Romney will be that president.”

President Obama Believes In Fighting For The Middle Class

In President Obama’s latest campaign ad he claims he is fighting for the middle class. He says in the ad, “we’re a nation of workers and doers and dreamers. We work hard for what we get. And all we ask for is that our hard work pays off. I believe that the way you grow the economy is from the middle out. I believe in fighting for the middle class because if they’re prospering all of us will prosper. That’s the idea of America and that’s why America is the greatest nation on earth.”

GOP Weekly Address 7/28/2012 We Need To Prevent Taxmageddon on January 1, 2013

Utah Senator Orrin Hatch delivers the Weekly Republican Address on the need to prevent Taxmageddon on January 1, 2013, explaining: “In just over five months, middle-class families, job creators and seniors will get hit with a massive tax hike unless the President and Congress act. This would mean that taxes would go up on virtually every single taxpaying American.” Senator Hatch continues, “Unfortunately, Washington Democrats’ default position appears to be to let everyone’s taxes skyrocket, if Congress doesn’t agree to their plan to raise taxes on one of the most productive segments of our economy. The group charged with representing small businesses found that 25 percent of our workforce is employed by those very small businesses that would be hit by the President’s proposed tax hikes.” Finally he concludes, “This isn’t the time for political games and vilifying job creators. The President and his Washington allies need to stop holding America’s economy hostage in order to raise taxes on those trying to lead our economic recovery. Let’s roll up our sleeves to ensure that America remains the leader we know it to be.”

President Obama’s Weekly Address 7/28/2012 Congress Must Act On Middle Class Taxes

From the White House; “President Obama urges Republicans in the House of Representatives to act on his proposal to protect middle class families and small businesses from being hit with a big tax hike next year.” According to Obama, “If 218 Members of the House vote the right way, 98% of American families and 97% of small business owners will have the certainty of knowing that that their income taxes will not go up next year.” He adds, “instead of doing what’s right for middle class families and small business owners, Republicans in Congress are holding these tax cuts hostage until we extend tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.”

Rep. Mike Kelly Wants The Government To Take It’s Boot Off The Throat Of Small Businesses

Representative Mike Kelly (PA-R) gave a 5 minute pro-business speech on the floor last week that got a rousing “U.S.A.” chant from other members. Kelly starts his story with a ballpark from his hometown that couldn’t have a grand opening because the mirrors in the bathrooms were a 1/4 inch to low. Senseless government regulation was keeping 1,500 people from enjoying a ballgame, and Kelly did not like that. Kelly says, “you want to know the price of regulation? You want to talk about the thousands and thousands of pages that we put on the back of the job creators? You want to talk about creating jobs in America? When you want to see a nation that doesn’t want to participate but wants to dominate in the world market, then let them rise! Take the heavy boot off the throat of America’s job creators and let them breathe!” Kelly finished his point to a rare loud applause from the House by saying, “We are so out of touch with the American people. And you know what all this does? It adds layer after layer after layer of cost. And that cost is ultimately paid for by the American consumer. You want to have more revenues, then let the tide rise for all boats! Let us be able to not only survive, but to thrive. I urge all my colleagues, on both sides of the aisle. This is not a left or right issue. This is an American issue. I urge you to rise today and vote for HR-4078, and let’s let America get back to work! With that, I yield back.”

Mitt Romney Questions If President Obama’s Economic Plans Really Worked

A few nights ago at a fundraiser, President Obama proudly proclaimed that his economic plan had “worked.” Tell that to the millions of Americans now on food stamps. Tell that to the millions of Americans struggling to make ends meet. No Mr. President, it did not work.

Mitt Romney Wants All Americans To Have An Equal Opportunity

Mitt Romney latest ad is aimed at the “African-American community.” According to the campaign, “Our nation’s economic downturn and unemployment have caused suffering for millions of Americans, but they have hit the African-American community disproportionately hard. Mitt Romney’s priority as president will be creating jobs, so that all Americans can have an equal opportunity.”

President Obama Says Americans Always Stand Behind Small Business

“Those ads taking my words about small business out of context; they’re flat out wrong. Of course Americans build their own business. Everyday hard-working people sacrifice to meet a payroll, create jobs, and make our economy run. And what I said was that we need to stand behind them as America always has. By investing in education, training, roads and bridges, research and technology. I’m Barack Obama and I approve this message because I believe we’re all in this together.”

The RNC Says The More Context You Get, The Worse Obama Sounds

In their latest web ad, the RNC use President Obama’s own words against him with a whole minute of context, just to prove that republicans are not taking President Obama out of context as the DNC claims. “President Obama thinks his comments are being taken out of context, but the reality is the context makes it worse,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “With more context, it is obvious President Obama doesn’t understand that businesses succeed because of the hard work and sacrifice of the American people, not the growth and intrusiveness of government. President Obama thinks he can paint over his latest admission, but he can’t cover up four years of anti-business actions. From his comments to entrepreneurs that ‘you didn’t build that’ and ‘the private sector is doing fine’ to failing to meet with his jobs council and failing to hold Daily Economic Briefings, it’s clear Obama’s lack of concern for our economy is quite clear.”
