Allen West Explains Self-Esteem Saying Obama Wants Americans To Be His Slave, So You Need To Buy A Gun

Representative Allen West was speaking to a crowd at a campaign event in Florida and tried to explain what self-esteem means to him. He said his mother would explain to him while growing up that taking home a government check would not build your self-esteem, and instead it would make you an economic slave. West went on to say that President Obama, “does not want you to have the self-esteem of getting up and earning, and having that title of American. He’d rather you be his slave.”

West wasn’t done there, he then started talking about the tax created by Obamacare, a tax “for not taking an action.” He had a better idea, saying, “for personal security, every American should have to go out and buy a Glock 9mm. And, and if you don’t do it. We’ll tax you.”

Hands Off My Healthcare Petition From Americans For Prosperity

The Super PAC, Americans for Prosperity, have a new campaign out calling on people to send in a petition to their representatives in Washington D.C., asking them to repeal Obamacare.

Dear Member of Congress,

I am deeply disappointed at the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Health Care bill. President Obama’s health care law will result in higher costs, fewer choices, and worse care for American families. Americans deserve real patient-centered care. Please keep your hands off my health care and I urge you to fully repeal Obama’s deeply flawed health care bill.

According to AforP, “President Obama promised that his healthcare law was not a tax increase, but now we know it is actually one of largest tax increases in history. Tell Obama: repeal the healthcare bill and pass patient-centered reform.” Tim Phillips, the president of Americans for Prosperity, said in a letter to supporters, “Obama’s health care law not only gives the federal government the power to penalize Americans for not buying something they may not want, but it is completely unaffordable. According to a study by a Trustee on the Medicare Board, this big-government legislation will add $530 billion to federal deficits and increase Washington spending by $1.76 trillion over the next decade.” Phillips added that, “Americans for Prosperity is deeply disappointed in the ruling, but we are not giving up. In fact, we’re working to make sure Congress knows the American people will accept nothing less than full repeal of this disastrous health care takeover.”

The RNC On President Obama’s Unpatriotic Debt

During a campaign event four years ago, then candidate Obama said that President Bush adding $4 trillion to the debt was “irresponsible” and “unpatriotic.” During just three years President Obama has racked up over $5 trillion in debt, more than any other President. “President Obama has done nothing to offer solutions or make the tough choices to correct America’s major economic problems. Instead, he has only sent the country on an unsustainable path by adding to the national debt and producing four budgets with deficits in excess of $1 trillion. We simply cannot afford four more years of the promise gap of his first term,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “This November, voters will hear his past promises to America and see that he can hardly call his actions of Big Government spending as patriotic. Governor Romney knows what it takes to balance a budget and control government spending. As president, he will provide America with the leadership and fiscal responsibility that will fix America’s debt and deficit problem and put the country back on the right path.”

Fred Karger Drops Out Of The Race For President

fred karger fat lady
She’s singing. The Karger for President Campaign is officially over today.

Fred Karger, who was running as the first openly gay republican, has announced today he is dropping out of the race. Fred Karger first became active in politics working for President Ronald Reagan. Karger stated in a message to supporters;

After 2 ½ years of campaigning as a candidate for President of the United States I am officially ending my historic campaign today June 29, 2012. It’s been one hell of a ride, and I want to thank the thousands of people across this country who volunteered, contributed, opened their homes, came to our events and cheered me on. Special thanks to the thousands more who shared their stories with me in person, via email, facebook, twitter, etc. Every one of you kept me going.

It’s been the experience of a lifetime. I’ve made many new friends and undoubtedly picked up a few more detractors. I hope and trust that my discussion of the key issues helped to open dialog on fixing the economy, balancing the federal budget, creating jobs, education reform, the environment, immigration reform, ending the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and fighting for full equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans. We must move forward on these issues and many more.

A big thank you goes out to our incredible campaign team, most of whom have been around for nearly the entire 2 ½ years. Your dedication, spirit and great ideas made all the difference.

I plan to rest up for awhile and then I will be back at it to help in the fight for LGBT equality. We will let you know as soon as our exact course is determined.

GOP Weekly Address 6/30/2012 New Health Care Tax Just One Of Many Broken Promises From President Obama

In the Weekly Republican Address, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyoming) calls for full repeal of Obamacare following the Supreme Court’s decision this week to uphold the President’s health law. A doctor who has practiced medicine for 25 years, Senator Barrasso says the Court’s ruling did nothing to improve the failed health care law: “It remains unworkable, unaffordable, and very unpopular.” Senator Barrasso says congressional Republicans are committed to repealing Obamacare and replacing it with health care reform that ensures Americans “get the care they need, from the doctor they choose, at a lower cost.” Senator Barrasso points out, “The President’s health care law hires more IRS agents to investigate you and to make sure you buy insurance — but it fails to deal with the shortage of nurses and doctors to actually take care of you.” Then he ads, “The President’s health care tax is only one of his many broken promises related to this law.
He promised lower health care costs, but they keep going up.
He promised lower insurance premiums, but they’ve increased $2,400 a family over the past three years.
He promised the law would create jobs, but the Congressional Budget Office projects that 800,000 fewer people will have jobs because of this law.
He promised it wouldn’t add a dime to the deficit, but the law calls for trillions of dollars in new spending that Americans don’t want.”
