During an interview with CNN, President Bill Clinton gave a thumbs up to Mitt Romney while talking about Bain Capital. “There’s no question that in terms of getting up and going to the office and, you know, basically performing the essential functions of the office, a man who’s been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold,” President Clinton said.

In Mitt Romney’s latest campaign ad he tells us it will be a better day starting day one of his presidency. “On day one of his presidency, Mitt Romney will focus on policies that grow our economy and create jobs. But more than that, a Romney presidency will signal that our country is back on the right track.”
During an interview with CBS News Mitt Romney was asked what grade he would give to President Obama. Romney responded, “Oh, an F, no question about that,” adding that the grade applies “across the board.” “When I look at what’s happening in the Middle East. The Arab Spring has become the Arab Winter. That’s hardly as success.” Now we have at least one public statement on Obama’s grades.
Newt Gingrich was on “The Morning Joe” this morning and started talking about the Super PACs. “You watch this fall. Between the Obama Super PACs and the Romney super PACs, the conservative Super PACs, the liberal Super PACs, it’s going to be a mess and people are going to be sick of it and it’s really unfortunate. It’s not the way a great nation should govern itself,” Gingrich said. “We would be better off with a system that says any American can donate any personal amount of income after personal taxes as long as they report it online that night, and they give it to the candidate. And then the candidates would have to be responsible for the advertising. You would have a cleaner, more positive, healthier system,” Gingrich said. He added, “I threw the kitchen sink at him. He threw a bigger kitchen sink at me. It wasn’t fun. And some of it was personal. There’s no question about it. But Barack Obama makes this really easy.”
One of Mitt Romney’s latest themes is that President Obama has a lot of broken promises, and have run a few ads based on this. Now the Obama campaign is paying them back with a 4 minute web ad that points out Romney had a few broken promises when he was governor of Massachusetts.
“Mitt Romney ran for Governor of Massachusetts promising more jobs, decreased debt, and smaller government. Here’s what Massachusetts got instead:”
Jobs: 47th out of 50 states in job creation
Taxes and fees: Increased more than $750 million per year
Long-term debt: Increased more than $2.6 billion
Chris White, a Fox News Associate Producer, put together this video of President Obama and his Hope and Change campaign. On the left they have complained that this is a campaign ad for the republicans. Of course, these are the same people who watch MSNBC on a daily basis.
The RNC have a new web video out that highlights President Obama’s record of investing in companies of campaign donors that failed, costing thousands of jobs. In response to the attacks from the left the RNC have adopted their own version of Bain Capital saying, “President Obama ignored many warnings and made risky bets with taxpayer dollars only to see more people lose their jobs, health care and pensions.” “President Obama’s legacy on job creation is making risky bets on companies owned by campaign donors only to see them fail and thousands of people lose their jobs,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “For three years, through his policies and rhetoric, he has shown that he is not only hostile to job creators, but he doesn’t understand how the free market works. The result has been billions of dollars given to failed green energy companies and 39 straight months of unemployment above 8%.”
Priebus adds, “I guess we can’t be surprised with the economic results we have received over the past three years. Barack Obama has never run a business. He’s never met a payroll and hasn’t created a single job. The only thing he’s ever managed is his personal narrative. America needs Mitt Romney in the White House because he’s spent time in both the private and public sector and understands how to get Americans back to work.”
Artur Davis represented Alabama’s 7th congressional district, serving from 2003 to 2011, and was the first congressman outside Illinois to endorse the presidential candidacy of Senator Barack Obama. Now he has decided to switch parties from Democrat to Republican, and has moved to Virginia. Davis explained on his web page, “On the specifics, I have regularly criticized an agenda that would punish businesses and job creators with more taxes just as they are trying to thrive again. I have taken issue with an administration that has lapsed into a bloc by bloc appeal to group grievances when the country is already too fractured: frankly, the symbolism of Barack Obama winning has not given us the substance of a united country.” Davis went on Fox News Tuesday to explain his switch.
