Sam Brownback’s Yellow Brick Road Ends

Sam Brownback made it official today, and announced he will drop out of the presidential race. Brownback said, “My yellow brick road just came short of the White House this time.” He managed only 3% at the best in polls, and had less than $100,000 in the bank. “We’re out of money,” said Brownback. His withdrawal from the race should help Mike Huckabee since they attract many of the same voters. Brownback made the announcement at the Kansas Statehouse with his wife and three of his five children. Brownback has said he would not run for another term in the Senate, and may run for Kansas governor in 2010. He may have dropped out of the presidential race, but he still is in the running for Presidential Idol.
