Thieves Steal Obama’s Prayer Note From Jerusalem’s Western Wall

While Barack Obama was on his world tour he made a stop by Jerusalem’s Western Wall and left a prayer note in one of the cracks in the wall. That is a custom of visitors to the wall and it is usually communications between the writer and their maker, but Obama’s note has been made public by thieves that stole the note right out of the wall just seconds after he left. The note was later published in the Israeli newspaper, Ma’ariv. Obama’s team will neither deny or confirm that the printed note was his. Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, who supervises the Western Wall, issued a statement saying, “This sacrilegious action deserves sharp condemnation and represents a desecration of the holy site.”
The note said;

Lord,

Protect my family and me. Forgive me my sins and help me guard against pride and despair.

Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just.

And make me an instrument of your will.
