Since June is over, another candidate has been voted off of Presidential Idol, and we are now down to the top 5 candidates. Ron Paul received the most votes for the month of June and came in first with 41.67%. Ron Paul has won Presidential Idol every month for over a year, and seems to be a shoe in to win this thing. In June, Barack Obama was second with 20.45% of the vote, and right behind him for the whole month was Hillary Clinton with 18.18%. The last three positions were tight with Al Gore and Chuck Hagel barely staying in with each of them getting 6.82% of the vote. John McCain was last, and gets booted off of Presidential Idol this month for only getting 6.06% of the vote. All the remaining candidates on Presidential Idol are starting from zero again, so we can vote another candidate off at the end of July. We started with 20 candidates over a year ago, and are now down to the top 5. November 2008 we will pick from that group the first Presidential Idol. You can vote once a day for any candidate on the list. The one with the least votes on July 31st is voted off, and we start again with the top 4 in July. So come by and vote for your favorite candidate at Presidential Idol. We are also home to Fantasy Politics 2008 the game. The only place on the internet that combines the fun of Fantasy Sports with all these politicians that wanted to be President. We currently have over 50 politicians to choose from, and 1000’s of points have already been awarded. It’s all free and it’s fun. Thanks.

Fantasy Politics comes from the lightning capital of the United States, and mid June we suffered a major lightning blow shutting us down for over two weeks. We are back up, you can still vote on Presidential Idol, and the game will start earning points soon.
Barack Obama visited the flood zone in Quincy, Illinois to help them bag a few sandbags and encourage others to do it as well. Obama told the press that since being in public office he has not seen “this kind of devastation.” Apparently he didn’t get to close to the Katrina devastation, he might have even seen a body float by if he had helped out there. He stopped by filled up about 15 bags and got some good pictures. He also vowed to push for state and federal aid to help victims of the floods. He did all this while wearing a nice white dress shirt that he failed to even get dirty. Some might look at this as a sign of good leadership. To me it looks like another chance to get a photo op, while exploiting other people’s tragedies. “This is really making a difference and obviously nothing compares to what’s happening in Cedar Rapids right now. And our hearts go out to them,” Obama said. “But you know in some ways the situation in Cedar Rapids now, we’re just gonna have to let Mother Nature run its course. Here we can still prevent some of the problems.” Obama seemed happy to get away from the podium, saying “There’s something liberating about manual labor, instead of talking all the time.” I guess a flood can be all fun and games when you can leave and go to your safe home that Rezko helped you buy.

Last night Barack Obama became the presumptuous winner, and all three of the candidates gave some speeches.
Here is Obama Claiming the Democratic Party’s nomination for President of the United States. He spoke to an audience of about 20,000 in the Xcel Center where the republicans will hold their convention;
Hillary Clinton won South Dakota, and Obama won Montana. Here is Clinton thanking her supporters from New York after the results came in;
Meanwhile John McCain gave a speech in New Orleans and he framed out what the contest this fall between him and Obama will be about;
I have eloped, and I’m driving across the country to Sedona so my writing will be sporadic…. Hopefully I will get a chance at the VP spot while there.
I’ll be back….
American Idol may be done for the year, but Presidential Idol has a little over 5 months before we pick the next and first Presidential Idol Since May is over, another candidate has been voted off of Presidential Idol. Ron Paul received the most votes for the month of May and came in first with 41.38%. Ron Paul has won Presidential Idol every month for over a year, and seems to be a shoe in to win this thing. Just like in the real world Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are battling it out for the second place. In May Hillary Clinton was second with 27.59% of the vote, and right behind her the whole month was Barack Obama with 20.69%. Everyone else is way behind with John McCain sliding into fourth with 5.91%, and Chuck Hagel next with 2.96%. Ex-candidate Mike Huckabee received less than 1% of the vote in May, and was booted off of Presidential Idol. Huckabee has dropped out of the presidential race, but he still gets votes in the primaries. He is also busy working on HuckPac which is committed to getting republicans elected, and is on a short list of candidates for the V.P. job with John McCain. All the candidates on Presidential Idol are starting from zero again, so we can vote another candidate off at the end of June. We started with 20 candidates over a year ago, and are now down to the top 6. November 2008 we will pick from that group the first Presidential Idol. Barack Obama has been forced to apologize for racist statements made by another one of his spiritual advisers. Chicago Catholic priest Michael Pfleger is a regular guest speaker at Obama’s Trinity church in Chicago, and Obama has referred to Pfleger as a “key source for spiritual guidance.” Pfleger has contributed to Obama’s campaign, and last fall he went to Iowa to campaign for Obama. There was a testimonial from Pfleger on Obama’s website, but they removed it after an embarrassing video of Pfleger showed up on YouTube. Pfleger was a guest speaker last week at Trinity church and he addressed the issue of “white entitlement and supremacy,” and what that has to do with the democratic primaries. He first wanted to look at reparations, and suggested white people give up their 401 saving accounts to make up for slavery. “Honestly now, to address the one who says, ‘Don’t hold me responsible for what my ancestors did.’ But you have enjoyed the benefits of what your ancestors did … and unless you are ready to give up the benefits, throw away your 401 fund, throw away your trust fund, throw away all the monies you put away into the company you walked into because your daddy and grand daddy,” Pfleger says. Then he adds, “Unless you are willing to give up the benefits then you must be responsible for what was done in your generation, because you are the beneficiaries of this insurance policy.” I wonder if Rev. Wrights 10 million dollar house the church just gave him is part of the reparations project Pfleger is promoting? He then claims Hillary Clinton assumed she would win because she was white. “We must be honest enough to expose white entitlement and supremacy wherever it raises its head.” He tells the congregation, “Reverend Moss, when Hillary was crying, and people said that was put on, I really don’t believe it was put on. I really believe that she just always thought, ‘This is mine. I’m Bill’s wife. I’m white. And this is mine. I just got to get up and step into the plate. And then out of nowhere came, hey, I’m Barack Obama. And she said, ‘Oh damn, where did you come from? I’m white. I’m entitled. There’s a black man stealing my show.'” He then broke the crowd up by acting like a crying Hillary Clinton. Then he added, “She wasn’t the only one crying. There was a whole lot of white people crying.” He seemed to understand it was controversial and would be seen by others since he ended by saying, “I’m sorry. I don’t want to get you into any more trouble.” Rev. Moss then thanked God for such a great sermon and man. I’m not sure what God has to do with any of this. It does seem to further back up that this church preaches divisiveness on a regular basis. Obama either slept through church or he has lied about what he has heard. He joined this church over 20 years ago to prove he was black enough to represent his constituents. Now his constituents are changing so he has to repudiate all that he has grown up with. He has already responded to this sermon by throwing another “spiritual adviser” under the bus, just like he did his grandmother, Farrakhan, and Rev. Wright. Obama denounced Pfleger by saying, “As I have traveled this country, I’ve been impressed not by what divides us, but by all that that unites us. That is why I am deeply disappointed in Father Pfleger’s divisive, backward-looking rhetoric, which doesn’t reflect the country I see or the desire of people across America to come together in common cause.”

While speaking to veterans at a Memorial Day rally yesterday Barack Obama noted he didn’t have any military experience, but some of his family has. “I had a uncle who was one of the, who was part of the first American troops to go into Auschwitz and liberate the concentration camps and the story in our family is that when he came home, he just went up into the attic and he didn’t leave the house for six months, right. Now obviously something had really affected him deeply but at that time there just weren’t the kinds of facilities to help somebody work through that kind of pain,†according to Obama. Auschwitz
is located in Poland, and the Red Army liberated that concentration camp on January 27th 1945. A second problem with Obama’s claim is his mother was an only child, and his father is Kenyan. Not much chance for for an uncle to serve in the U.S. army. He does mention his grandfather that marched with General Patten, and that could be a source of his confusion since his grandfather told him about “the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka.” Was his grandfather hanging out with the Red Army or just talking to Obama’s mystery uncle in the attic? Obama needs to get a bit more familiar with the “typical white” side of his family and American history.

Yesterday Barack Obama gave a Memorial Day speech to a group of New Mexico veterans and saw the dead among them. He told the group of vets, “on this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes, and I see many of them in the audience here today, our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.” Later on in speech he does acknowledge that Memorial Day is for the fallen war hero’s, but that is what happens when Obama strays from his prepared speech. He says stupid stuff and seems to get away with it. But that was not the only instance yesterday of the Obama camp being confused about what Memorial Day is all about. John McCain in an interview with AP attacked Obama’s lack of experience and knowledge of war. “He really has no experience or knowledge or judgment about the issue of Iraq and he has wanted to surrender for a long time,” McCain said of Obama. “If there was any other issue before the American people, and you hadn’t had anything to do with it in a couple of years, I think the American people would judge that very harshly.” McCain also invited Obama to join him on a trip to Iraq to help him understand the situation there. The Obama camp responded to McCain’s criticism by saying, “Senator Obama thinks Memorial Day is a day to honor our nation’s veterans, not a day for political posturing.” My guess is they have Veterans Day and Memorial Day confused.
